“Customer service is everything and the new owners are every bit as wonderful as the last. The women who helped us were very knowledgeable and offered much info about my flagpole and flags. They also make custom products made onsite. Also do repairs of both flags and the poles. Had large selection of kites spinners and of couse flags. Have been dealing with Yankee Doodle Flags since the 80s. Recieved a 25ft pole for a housewarming gift from my sister. She gave her husband one as an anniversary gift. It is the best idea ever.Would absolutely recommend Yankee Flags to everyone who wants to get or give an unique gift. I continue to add to the story of my best house warming gift. Each year on Flag Day we replace the American flag. This year we add a rainbow ? flag.”
“Checkmate has just about everything you could ask for in a hobby shop. Its fully stocked with TCG and table top goods without being cramped. The furniture fixtures like wooden shelves help make a cozy atmosphere. Employees were welcoming, knowledgeable, and ready to engage in a conversation about what we were looking for. They have a spacious area for free play and organize local events that feel encouraging to join. Checkmate is about an hour drive for us but we'll gladly make it again soon.”

Staff members are fairly knowledgeable about a variety of games, some more knowledgeable in one or two areas over others. Regardless, if you love boardgames, you will love this place. ?
