“Bought the wrong charging cable and the nice woman there helped me return it and exchange it for a new one. Excellent customer service and welcoming environment.”

“I would like to highlight that I was very well assisted by the young man who was helping at the checkout today, Sunday the 14th, in the afternoon. I needed to delete/remove an item, and he was very helpful and assisted me promptly. Unfortunately, when finishing the process, I mistakenly answered the satisfaction survey incorrectly due to inattention. I would just like to emphasize the professionalism and politeness with which I was assisted.”

“Very clean, well-organized store! It’s another one of those discount stores but everything is $5 and under with the exception of a few items. They have a nice beauty section and a little bit of everything. I will say a lot of their products are cheap so just be aware of that when looking for certain things that you might want to last a while.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
