Management sucks, they work their employees like slaves but get to have whatever days they want off. I swear the management at most of these locations need better education. Do better!

Might have upgraded the store but didn’t upgrade their customer service. I never wrote reviews. This is to hopefully someone sees this higher up and does something. Worst customer service by the men in that facility. I was at the wrong cash register and all he did was point at the other register without saying a word to me. Last time he was on his phone as i was getting checked out with no interaction with me at all. I don’t need a full welcoming committee but maybe at least a hi and a thank you or speak when spoken to. Do better people!

I had a horrible customer service at Hopedales Dollar General store. I usually go to Cadiz, but their internet has been down the last several days. I had been given two large gift cards to help with giving my children a good Christmas. Calling ahead to Hopedale, I wanted to confirm that I would be able to purchase my teenager daughter her first love, phone minutes. Not a problem, just not allowed alcohol or tobacco on the gift cards, minutes we're ok. Long story short, when arriving at the slammed store (12 people to two lines) to get said minutes and many other gifts, the cashier was very rude and said I wasn't supposed to get phone minutes on it but she guessed she had to now. Then in a very loud voice, she told the other cashier that we weren't allowed to get phone minutes on gift cards anymore. Then she started ringing my other gifts up with a very unpleasant attitude, hassling me when I told her that several electronic items I got were on sale. She snatched up a ad, said there was no deals she saw in it. I picked up one item and told her it was half off, but she didn't believe me. When I offered to go get the sign hanging in the area she angrily rang it up as half off the smallest item then quickly swiped my cards to pay. I didn't even get to use my dollar general app for coupons that would have saved me $23. I got shorted of $35 in discounts on the three most expensive gifts, so I really lost out on $58. Then I got home to discover my receipt is barely legible, so I can't even do a return or fix the situation at all. I was so embarrassed, angry, and frustrated I could barely drive the 30 miles home. What happened to even decent customer service? I have 6 kids, an injured husband, and this store just practically robbed my kids of Christmas cheer. I would never treat a customer so horribly. Shame too, I've always been a loyal customer.

Its in r home town an we shop there alot an great people running/ working there. Only thing id changebor do better would be to keep the coolers full/stocked with sour cream egg ex Thank You

Stock is very limited...always...I usually end up going to Wal-Mart or cadiz dollar store to get the items I couldn't Get there....but most of the staff is very nice and it's close so

I was buying junk food for kids. I was laughed at as the woman stared into my cart. She humiliated me in front of everyone saying, “hahaha someone needs to eat better!”I’m currently on a weight loss journey and people in the customer service industry should not have opportunities to make comments like these. She should have been punished. ??♀️
