It is always a pleasure to go to Hollywood Feed. This particular store is not the one I usually go to since I live elsewhere but I still had a great experience. The young guy who helped me was very nice, helpful and very knowledgeable.

Extremely disappointing. They charge $15 to wash your dog here. They have the cheapest shampoo I think that’s on the market. It’s so terrible. I bring my own shampoo and conditioner. So literally the main thing I’m paying for is hot water a towel and a place to bathe. The water was ice cold. Seeing that dogs temperatures are higher than humans temperatures. I’m sure it felt worse for my dog. I’ve use this dog bath a couple of times on other occasions the water was ice cold too. On the other occasions, the water has been a decent temperature, but I have the cold water 100% off and it’s hot only but it’s luke warm. I was told they had a lot of dog washes today that’s why it was cold. Maybe if you turn the hot water tank up a little so a bather actually had to use cold water it wouldn’t use up all the hot water after a couple of baths.
As far as the dog baths at this location they have gone downhill dramatically. There was no hot water for my dogs shower. There was still hair in the drain from the previous dog and hair on the floor. Not small amounts clumps. I didn’t really mind the hair as much is no hot water. I paid $13.99 per shower. So for two dogs I paid $27.98. I brought my own shampoo that was higher quality. So all I needed was the water, space and towel. The water was not hot, the space was dirty still, and the towels were microfiber that did not absorb any moisture. I only used one towel for two dogs. The hair blower that they have used to be amazing but now it’s lacking power and it makes a really high pitched sound that hurts your ears. I use the blower for all of 30 seconds and decided no more. Then I moved onto the microfiber towels which were useless. Thank goodness it is 79° out so we just paid and headed to the car. Now as far as pet food and the cleanliness of the store itself it’s very high-quality. If I was basing my review only on the dog showers it would be a one. If I was basing my review only on the store itself without the baths it would be a five. This is how I derived at three stars.
Response to the store. As far as the temperature of the water I used to breed and show poodles for over 20 years. None of them ever had any skin issues from using much warmer water and getting baths at least a minimum of every two weeks. The water was barely even lukewarm. Many dogs have their skin dry out from using tear free shampoo which has formaldehyde in it. Possibly you’re getting that confused with having warm water. Dogs body temperature is higher than humans body temperature so what feels cold to me is very cold to them. My dogs were shivering. As for the blower I understand that it is a room temperature. That was not my problem. The problem was that the motor seems to be going out and it’s making a ridiculously high pitch noise along with the nozzle end being worn out and flying off. It would not stay on.
I reduced my three star rating to two star rating due to making excuses for having cold water and worn out blowers.

I used to buy my nutri source dog food small breeds at menards. We used to purchase the small bags from them. Come to find out.They're now a special order. No Thanks
I used to buy my nutri source dog food, small breeds at pet supplies plus. Well checked all their stores and they have None. After ninety minutes making phone calls and running all over I had no idea what to do.
After searching a while on the internet I found Hollywood feed. Gave them a phone call, and yes, they had my puppy food. Now, for the big surprise, it was buy one, get one free!

I love love LOVE coming to this Hollywood feed! I am always greeted right upon walking in and the employees are so helpful. They have such an amazing selection of toys/treats/supplies/and pet food! I highly recommend shopping here for your pets!!!!!

I always find great bowties for my black cat here. They have a great selection of healthy food and fun toys year-round. Today I had the finest service from a young woman who plans to attend Ohio State Veterinary School in the fall. She helped me to get the awards perks I've earned as a loyal customer and went way out if her way to be helpful and friendly. It's rare to have such exceptional customer care these days. It shows that management really cares about their customers and their customer's pets.
