Vertical Runner is not just a store, it is a community. When I moved to Ohio last year, my wife and I took up trail running for the first time. Lauren, Aiden and Emily have helped me in countless ways. For one, I was invited to join their fantastic running group (CRTR). Also, I have been able to get expert level guidance on shoe purchases, socks, headlamps, running clothes and snacks.

I went into Vertical Runner with a very specific purchase in mind. The staff member who helped me, listened to what I was thinking and shared the specific item I came in for. She also made a few other suggestions of things to try to best fit my needs. I ended up going with her suggestion (which wasn't an upsell) and am VERY happy with my purchase. I felt heard and supported. Very grateful for the informative, low pressure approach!

I have purchased from vertical runner multiple times. This time was special, my mother-in-law needed a pair of tennis shoes and it was time to upgrade from Skechers. The ladies were so patient with her and made sure to find the best fit for her feet (she has preexisting issues). She is a very picky person and they didn't bat an eye when she started listing her requests. Eventually she found the right shoe and was able to get a color she liked shipped to her home. Thanks Vertical Runner for making my life easier! This is why you shop local!

Never shopped here before, thought I'd try it out since I have a hard time finding shoes that work. Bought a seemingly comfy pair that ended up killing my feet. Because the return policy is apparently must be new and unworn (which was not explained to me when I bought them) I couldn't get my money back even though they're fine. So instead I swapped them out for a different brand that I originally looked at. Well those are also not working out so I guess I'm just out $170 so that's nice. Not going to buy here again, I don't even like spending that kind of money on shoes to begin with. Staff was friendly thoughedit: Maybe try disclosing your policy before the transaction is complete and not just say its on the receipt after the fact. All the lady told me was that I can bring them back within 30 days and just said to wear them inside which I did. I wouldn't have spent my money here had I known it was going to be a pain to return. No I will not be stopping by again, this has just been a massive waste of time and money. Will just try and sell them online and get some of my money back.

This store and the amazing people working there have saved me 3 times now with a running shoe emergency! They are all so knowledgable and kind, and they really care about helping you find the best fit for what you need, and will do whatever they can to get you what you need.

Second chances. We all need one every now and then and I'm so glad I gave one to this shop! Vince gave me the service I was looking for ...and that I witnessed his staff giving to everyone that stopped in. I have been here 2x within a month or two for walking shoes and shoes for volleyball. Both times I’ve been treated with respect. Not rushed. My needs were listened to and I’m glad he did not take my word for it on sizing bc I was different than I thought! I felt intimidated going here initially bc I am not a runner. But when I arrived I felt at ease. Their customer service is top notch and I really appreciated being helped and heard. Thank you! I ended up with two pairs of shoes I absolutely love.

The amazing man who helped me, took the time to find me who is a newbie to running shoes find literally the best and most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I went in thinking I'd be buying hoka ended up in new balance ? I will be back for my next purchase again & again. Have gotten my shoes here when I was really running a few years ago. Took a hiatus and wanted to try them out again. Had a lot of questions. Cassie was so patient and answered them all. Gave me a lot of options and found a pair that felt like I was running on clouds. Didn’t feel pressured and the knowledge was so helpful.

I wanted a pair of On Cloud shoes and found Vertical Runner on OC’s website. The staff was super helpful, friendly and informative. They actually took the time to measure my foot and apparently it has grown a bit over time. It’s been years since someone actually sized me for a shoe. They didn’t have the color I wanted, but ordered it and I received it promptly. Great shoe, great service, I’ll definitely be back! Thanks!!!
