Best personal training you will find in NEO. Very holistic approach to health and fitness and everything is personalized to you. Each trainer is very personable and makes working out enjoyable. As a former Division 1 athlete who struggled with hip/core/back injuries during college and well after, Fred and his team have helped me regain strength and confidence in both physical activity and everyday life. Dr. Fred and his hardworking staff are guaranteed to help you reach you health and fitness goals regardless if where you are on your fitness journey. I was working out 6-7 days a week and eating a relatively clean diet when I first starting my sessions, but I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. Dr. Fred and his team helped me to incorporate strength training and other health habits into my routine and it had made all the difference. I suffer from chronic pain caused by autoimmune issues that cause me to have severe muscle spasms, especially in my back and rib cage areas. Fred was able to give me a stretching routine that helps immensely with my pain and spasms. I am sure it is also helping with the kyphosis. This was way more than any physician did for me and my pain, no drugs or time consuming doctor visits and in my opinion better than any physical therapist I had visited. He also has a wealth of nutritional knowledge (that confirmed my food choices were helping not adding to my autoimmune issues) if you want to start eating healthy.

Have had nothing but positive experiences with The Fitness Doctor, from my initial consultation with Dr. Peters, through my training over the last almost three years with Kevin Kleiss, one of the trainers. Absolutely no judgement, simply encouragement and motivation to continue to get better. The whole experience has been extremely positive, and has kept me working toward my goals.

Great team of trainers who really know how to motivate you to meet your goals. They can formulate a fitness and diet plan to match every clients needs. Clean, and private facility with a wide variety of equipment to fit everyone’s fitness level. There are so many positive aspects of training at The Fitness Doctor! The facility offers a professional atmosphere in a very clean, sanitary environment that has been responsive to new/changing Covid protocols. The trainers are sincerely interested in advancing the goals of clients; online scheduling is convenient as is the location in Independence. At The Fitness Doctor, I receive a great deal of support and attention to my health and self-improvement plans. Strongly recommend!

I was struggling to lose weight on my own and I’ve kinda always struggled to achieve my own goals with my physical health in general. So, I decided to give the fitness doctor a try and I also knew the founder from a while back. It’s safe to say I’ve chosen the right place. In less than 40 days I’ve not only lost 12 pounds, but I’ve also changed my entire life with their program. I’m eating and cooking real food, I am understanding how to use machines at gyms, my confidence is getting better every week, and I’m learning so much not only about physical health but mental health as well. Every trainer has been kind, and has cared enough to even support me outside of the facility. They check in on me, they offer advice on so many different topics, and they’ve even helped me set up my own workouts/meal plans. You get so much more than just a workout! Give it a try, be patient with yourself and good luck!
