Every time I visit Dollar General, Kathryn (Kathy) Henson is standing around with the same man, having personal conversations while ignoring customers. She has made snarky and disrespectful remarks about my purchases, questioning their necessity or value, which is both unprofessional and offensive.
On multiple occasions, she has used profanity around me and my children, creating an uncomfortable shopping environment. She also avoids eye contact, rolls her eyes, and makes me feel unwelcome—like I don’t belong in the store. To make matters worse, the man who is always with her frequently comments on my purchases and the store’s procedures, adding to the discomfort and humiliation.
No customer should have to feel disrespected or judged while shopping. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, and I hope management takes action to ensure a more professional and welcoming environment.

This is the worst DG I have ever been in. It is filthy, trashy, disorganized and you’re really lucky if the shelves are even halfway stocked. Every time I drive up there is at LEAST 1 employee smoking. On 3/16/25 BOTH employees were outside smoking and they were loudly complaining about work. I wish I had taken photos to share but I didn’t this time. All I needed was a couple cans of cat food and they had absolutely none on the shelf. Very disappointing because Some DG’s are really nice and shoppable with pleasant, efficient employees.

Overworked, and yet, still always friendly, helpful, and positive staff.
If you need a job, they could use the help (Hiring notice on the doors).
The Corporate DG needs to step their game up.
Locally tho, they try their best.
CORPORATE NEEDS TO START RUNNING THEIR BUSINESS.

I'm downgrading these stores frome from 4 to 1 stars because the app is a total mess just like every store I've been in.
Always messy and unkept.... Not the employees fault, it's obviously a higher corporate managerial problem.

So a week ago I bought a 30 dollar gift card to buy things online. I called the Visa card company to activate and make sure it had money on it. They said they couldn't replace the card and that I should just type In the number to verify the card. I already did that and was trying to explain to the representative that I already tried to verify but the card had no money and wasn't registered. With every question I asked the representative, he kept repeating "just verify your card online" which I've already done with no help. I then went to the dollar store to get money back and they said "just call card number. We can't do anything" which I understand but the number I called didn't do anything. 30 dollars lost. I'm kind of frustrated. Not mad at dollar general. I think there's an issue with card activation.

I found what I went to buy eventually after I dodged all the stuff in the aisles that needed put away. It isn't the employees fault who you see workings fault. The company only puts one person working at all times. So you have to stock shelves run register and so on.

Ok. Yes this is my hometown DG. Of course im hoing tk give y'all a 5 star rating because I love the employees here. I to work here and even though there have been a couple bad experiences here, I'll always come back. Just like myself, live it or hate it, DG is here to stay. May as well find the positive attributes and roll with them.
