Our handicapped son has always bought the protection plan when buying systems from gamestop. Over the years, he has had to have them replaced and there was never an issue. Now they have "changed their policy" and now they won't cover it because the Sim card door is broken on one and a joystick is broken on the other. They require you to now pay monthly to be covered. They will not return the money paid for the useless warranty that was sold during original purchase. Sounds like a class action lawsuit to me. Anyone want to join in?

I took my daughter to games stop to sell her Nintendo Switch. The young lady at the counter looked through the games we had gave me the price she would buy them for and went on to look over the Nintendo. She plugged it in to charge and asked if we had the piece that the small controllers attach to in order to use it like a regular controller. Turns out my daughter forgot it at home. I told her we will go get it and come back. It was no problem. I then asked how much she would give me for the Nintendo Switch with everything we had plus the piece we left at home. She told me $95 cash. I said ok we will get the piece and come right back. Meanwhile I sold all of the games we had to her. We came back and she plugged the Nintendo back in again and we browsed the store. She then came back and said she would give me under $50 for the gaming system because a piece of the controller was broken. (The same one she inspected the first time we were there). I told her I understand but we would not be interested in selling it for that price. We were ok with that. My daughter asked if we could get one of the games back because now we are taking the gaming system back home. She then went on to tell us we would have to buy it back for the price they sell them.... Ok I just sold it to you a half an hour ago and you said you were going to give me $95 for the system now it's under $50. How much is the game to buy it back? (I sold it to them for $12. It's $50 to buy back the game I just sold them because they said they were going to give me $95 for the game system. I asked if there's anything she can do since we literally just sold it to her. Manager came and jumped in, said no we can't do anything about it. You sold it now it's $50 to buy it back. I pleaded a little with him. He stood there smiling at me saying there's nothing we can do, while my daughter was in tears. How messed up is that. I will never go to game stop again.. ever. I totally got ripped off.

02/14/24 This store is operated by lazy non helpful bums. Doesn't even open till 12pm. I show up at 11:47am expecting to do several hundred dollars in buisness and the snotty nosed clerk can't even be bothered to look up from scrolling through his cellphone leaning against the cash register while picking his nose. No problem il just go next door to Walmart where they have normal buisness hours and get what's needed. And they wonder why I didn't renew my memberships. Place is a joke

They gave me only $56 for a practically brand new Nintendo switch. I would not trade in a controller here let alone system ever again. They will sell the exact same Nintendo switch for $250 over nine times the amount they gave me in its value, this is outrageous they should have zero stars

This game stop is right by my house and super convenient to run to since our home is a “gamer” household. Typically friendly staff that is very helpful. The last time I was in there the person that cashed us out was arrogant, snappy, and rude. I believe his name was Adam. I haven’t been back to the store since and instead drive 20 mins away to go to a different one.
