Unbelievably terrible experience. Show up at 8:15 for 8:30 appointment get put in a room at 8:35 at 9:20 I not a soul has stopped in. I have to leave, I walk out to the desk and Maria who I have heard talking in the hallway “suddenly “ appears and asks if we can talk.No regard to send someone in to say she’d be late. No care that patients have lives too just a “ we stack you up 3-4 to an appointment time attitude”.The best part was I still have to argue with UH to get my $20 copay back because they couldnt unprocess it. Maria gave a toss whether she saw me and then I have to fight to get my money back and this is health care with UH.

Several year former patient here. There are some serious issues with whoever works the phones at Ulrich Professional Group. The only time they answer the phones are between 11am and 2pm, where they pick up to say "We're at lunch" and then hang up before you can get a word out. If you call any other time during normal business hours, they will not answer. If you leave a voicemail, they will either not call you back or they will call you back in 3+ business days. I had blood work done over a month ago. I waited two weeks and never heard anything so I called and left a voicemail requesting the results. Then another two weeks go by, still no call back. So today, I walked into in their office in the middle of the afternoon. There were zero patients waiting in the lobby and two receptionists just sitting there giggling with each other. I asked if my bloodwork results were in and they said the doctor hasn't reviewed my bloodwork yet. What??? Over a month and the doctor hasn't looked at my results??? That is either a huge red flag or a lie. Needless to say I won't be coming back here.

My mother used to receive relatively great care here, but of late, things have deteriorated. Recently, she lost an antibiotic and needed the last 6 of the cycle and was told, after a day and a half of waiting for an answer, and having to call repeatedly, that they would not call it in because medications get abused. First, this is an antibiotic, which aren't abused for recreational purposes and certainly weren't being abused in this case. Further, a practitioner not allowing a patient to complete an antibiotic cycle is negligent. This creates a situation where the infection can become resistant. This was an ear infection and doxycycline isn't habit-forming. Also, my mother has no history of addictive behavior. The customer service representative from Ulrich Group was extremely unprofessional, telling my mother to get some pain meds to manage her nausea rather than throwing the antibiotic away (which she didn't do). And flatly saying that the nurse practitioner would not prescribe anything additional to help because 'medication gets abused'. Now.... In Ohio where pain meds/opioids are a huge problem, you're going to tell someone to take pain pills to manage nausea from antiibiotics they may be having an allergic reaction to, and that you won't prescribe a new antibiotic because pain meds get abused???? Maybe I see where the problem is. It isn't with doctors, and it isn't with patients.... It's admins that don't know their game telling someone to take pain pills to manage their allergies. Smdh.

The doctor is asking to do things that could flat out kill someone. This is not a safe practice at all the medical choices are NOT safe or in your best interests. I would not use any University Hospital or medical group associated with UH. I would prefer to be left for dead than have care provided by UH. AVOID THIS GROUP AT ALL COSTS.The second issue is billing and coding.. THEY CAN NOT SEEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT OR WHO HAS TO FIX IT. THEY KEEP YOU FROM SPEAKING TO MANAGERS BY HANGING UP ON YOU AND ALSO KEEP YOU FROM PATIENT ADVOCATES BY SENDING YOU TO AN UNMANED NUMBER TO LEAVE A MESSAGE NO ONE ANSWERS. It has taken multiple days to be told they will "look in to it" not worth the head ache.

TLDR: This office never actually booked my appointment in their system. I waited four months to show up to my appointment time to be told that I’m not in the system, and there’s nothing they can do but schedule a new appointment for me 6-8 weeks out.
I made an appointment over the phone in May to be seen in September (the doctor was booked until then) because I need to establish a new primary care doctor in my area. I booked it, even with the months of wait time, because I’ve read good reviews about the doctor and wasn’t having any serious issues at the time. Recently though, I have been especially looking forward to this appointment because I need a refill on a medication, and I’ve been struggling with a mental illness I was hoping to get a diagnosis for/get help with. (I see a psychologist as well, but she is unable to write prescriptions since she is not a medical doctor.)
I found it a little odd I didn’t receive a reminder call or text about the appointment a day prior, but I didn’t think much of it since I would be a new patient. That was until I arrived at my appointment time and upon checking in, the clerk couldn’t find any record of me at all in their system. It’s not like I accidentally jotted down the wrong date or time - they could not find an appointment under my name, address, or phone number at all. It is clear somebody made a clerical error on their end, and my appointment wasn’t entered into the system. A HUGE oversight for an appointment booked months out.
The clerk’s only solution was to create a new appointment for me to be seen in 6-8 weeks at the earliest. I should have pushed back and asked if they could squeeze me in today due to their own oversight/mistake, but I didn’t. I was calm and polite, but I was emotionally overwhelmed at that point knowing I’d have to wait even longer to establish a primary care physician and get a diagnosis, so I walked out without rescheduling.
I even did a little research once I got home to make sure I wasn’t imagining things or possibly booked an appointment at a different doctor’s office by mistake. I checked my phone records from May, and there was a 6 minute phone call to this office on the 27th. I have had a scheduled calendar event in my phone for months to remind me of this appointment as well.
I researched yet again through my list of providers in the area and called around. Thankfully Dr Holmer’s office in Stow was able to find a cancellation and schedule me in less than two weeks.
This was just a totally unacceptable oversight. For the solution to be a new appointment two months out is hardly a solution at all.

Theres a balance between genuine patient care and profit. Didnt feel that was met. Had a doctor from here. Phenominal doctor. Gave me a little faith in the healthcare system. He left the group. Starting seeing a Dr. Mungai. Its a very detailed story so ill keep it brief. Basically, he treated me as if i were a drug abuser that doesnt know anything. I was so disgusted by my experience i stopped going and taking my medication. (Which i genuinely used for my condition!!!) Overall if its not his professional opinion. Its wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. Fix this issue so nobody else has to go through this. Doctors dont know the entirety of the human body and theyd do well to remember that.

I arrived early waiting for the lab to open. I watched all the staff arrive and park in the closest parking spots so the sick and elderly would have to walk farther and in the rain.

Our family doctor is great and the office staff are nice as well.Terrible communication. Not great at returning calls.I called to request a med be changed (left a voicemail and asked for a return call as well). No return call.I called a second time to check in and they were going to check on it and get back to me. I asked them to call me and NOT my husband (he can’t answer calls at work and I can); they said they wrote my number down.On my third call about the same issue, they told me they left a voicemail for my husband. In the end, they did change the med, like I asked. Too bad I had no idea! Three calls later and I find out the med has been available for two weeks now. Please just return calls.

No longer the practice it used to be. I had a great relationship with my previous provider here. On my first appointment with a new one I have already been blamed for others not hearing me / reporting information correctly. Internal communication at the practice now seems to be an issue. My new doctor openly said she was not concerned about painful hard growths on my throat with very little inspection. When Covid test was requested to ensure sickly parents would not be at risk, it was denied due to not having acute symptoms. This is after our state of Ohio has said anyone who wants them, can have them. The communications lacked any sense of empathy and had language of blame. Can't understand someone being frustrated by 2 emails asking for clarification. Other providers here may still be great, but if you are a new patient I suggest looking elsewhere.

I have been going to Ulrich Professional Group my whole life, even back when Dr. Sally was here. The staff and doctors are amazing and I have never had an issue being on hold for more than 5 minutes, and always get treated like family when I go in for an appointment. They are extremely compassionate and do whatever they can to accommodate me. Would highly recommend them to anyone

Great doctors and office personnel.Respond quickly.Just wish they made hospital visits when your in hospital. Instead of hospital doctors that don’t know you.
