they were very friendly until I decided to return a sax mouthpiece, at which time they hit me with a 60 DOLLAR re-stocking fee. They also told me the return was "late," after telling me over the phone that it was fine to return the mouthpiece. I think that kind of fee is OVER THE TOP. Maybe 15-20 dollars for their trouble; also note: they said they would charge me 15% as a restocking fee, which was about $10 less than they charged me. The whole thing was dishonest and left a bad taste in my mouth.

Went in as a beginner with really really surface level questions about changing a pedal battery and everyone was so nice. Definitely left more guitar-smart. Thanks guys!

Woodsy's has been around forever. It's a great store and they have reasonable prices for repairs. They have a great selection of instruments too.

Ordered 2 items online. I got an email saying one was cancelled due to being out of stock. I was refunded for that amount, but shipping costs were not adjusted. I emailed several times asking if the shipping was still the same as it would have been for 2 items and didn't get a response. They sent it anyway. I would have cancelled if I had know I would end up paying so much for shipping for only half of what I wanted. Don't expect email responses. Would not recommend mail order from them.

Woodsys is a great store, but the customer service from Dom was pathetic. Go find Justin, he is fantastic.

I've been coming to this store for years. Took amazing guitar lessons for 8 years. Just got a couple of hard to find Boss pedals here. Highly recommend the DS-1. Check out the store. ??

Went in to upgrade several parts of my guitar. Got my guitar checked in and I was basically handwaved away right after I mentioned the first part, being new pickups.New pickups were installed. I was never asked about what switching system would be used. Was given one push/pull pot and one push/push pot. I called in to ask about that, and was told that they do the same thing so it doesn't matter, and that the wiring took forever and was so complex that they don't want to work on it again.Probably won't go back. Not a fan of being told that I get what I get, at the whim of whoever decides what I want for me. Pickups work and sound decent, though, so there's a skilled team there. Just seems like they don't care.

After completing some internet research, I reached out to Woodsy's by email because they had a difficult-to-find tenor saxophone, in stock, that I was interested in playing/testing. Hunter helped me throughout the process, over a few weeks. He was prompt to reply to emails and provided accurate and helpful information. I made a daytrip from Maryland to Ohio to try this instrument. Upon my arrival, Hunter, the instrument, and the practice room were ready and waiting. I was allowed as much time as I needed/wanted to thoroughly evaluate the instrument. Hunter was able to answer all my questions and convinced me, without any pressure, that purchasing the saxophone was a good decision. I returned to Maryland with a new saxophone, one that I am eager to start using as my primary instrument. I recommend you consider Woodsy's for any instrument purchases...beginner, amateur, semi-pro or pro,

Paul could not have been more helpful when I was buying an electronic drum set. Took his time, walked me around, showed me differences in sticks, amps, thrones, etc. Ended up with a very fair, if not great, deal. Furthermore, Yamaha is not allowing me to register the product for some reason so I called Paul, he wrote down all the serial numbers I could find, and is calling Yamaha for me to get things squared away. THAT is service!!Will be returning to spend some time with Paul, as he helps me pick out a nice acoustic guitar. He stopped me from making a quick guitar purchase when I was buying the drums so I would make a smart decision, not an impulse one. "Like any instrument, there are different sizes, different uses, etc. Let's take the time to find the right one for YOU and not just spend money." I'm paraphrasing but that is an example of how I wish more businesses acted, in the best interest of the customer and not only the bottom line. I will shop nowhere else for my music needs after this experience.

My first call to them was great, lots of great information from the young lady and I was looking forward to doing business with them. I was transferred to the service department to see about looking at my son’s instrument and they informed me they were very busy night now which I completely understand. I was also told that I could schedule a time to come and meet with the service tech to do a quick evaluation to see what time and cost would be associated with the repair. So, I re-worked my schedule, called back and spoke to the service department again and they took my information and told me to bring the instrument to the Kent location at 3:30pm for my appointment with the service tech. When we brought it in, we were told that we never scheduled the time and that “they need to stop telling people about walk ins” I was not a walk in, I was a scheduled appointment. They told us that the tech was knee deep into a project and could not see us. (Since they had my name and number…..I would think they could have called to let me know before I drove 45 mins one way)

I brought my guitar in for a string change. After they were changed I noticed my guitar was playing funny so I brought it back and they adjusted the action and truss rod free of charge and now it plays smoother than ever. Support you local biz!

I went to Woodsy's Music today It's amazing how going to a Music Store and just hanging out and playing Music can get you in a good mood At the risk of making the store so popular that I will have to get there early to get parking, I have to recommend Woodsy's Music in Kent Friendly Knowledgeable Staff, great selection of equipment, and I highly recommend Woodsy's Music in Kent I know I'm going back there...
