I took my 2006 Honda CRF 250R because it kept overheating and wouldn't stay running. Joe completely took the bike apart and diagnosed all of the issues it had. He kept me informed of what was wrong and showed me all of the issues with the bad parts as well as how much it would be to make the repairs. My bike is now up and running like new and I am very pleased with the work that was performed!

I brought my 2001 Honda Shadow Ace Deluxe motorcycle into Joe Hawk’s shop. I had a list of things that needed attention (around 5-7 items). My non-working light was the biggie (#1) because the bike is not legal. The carburetors were #2 as the bike didn’t perform well.He explained to me in advance that “my appointment” was only a drop off time. He showed me the work that lay before him; it was about 15-20 bikes plus whatever else I didn’t notice. I am actually amazed he got to and finished my bike as soon as he did. When he was done weeks later, the bill was fairly hefty ($1000’s). However, I expected all this (time and money), especially if he fixed everything on my list. Additionally, I am sure he had to order parts and it can take a lot of time to get them ordered and shipped to his shop. It is not like you can Amazon Prime everything overnight. He fixed everything! OMG! This bike runs like a brand-new bike now. IMHO, he fixed it better than I had anticipated. He explained the details of a few things he did to troubleshoot the issues. He has a very impressive amount of knowledge and attention to details. This bike is now truly the joy to ride, that it should have been all along.I will take all my motorcycle issues to Joe from here on out. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Also, to address all the bad reviews posted to his business… I think that some people have unbelievably high expectations of small businesses these days. They think the work will be done that day. They want it completed for unreasonably low prices. I think they interpret Joe’s “attitude” as bad because he is a business owner with almost no employees and a ton of work to do, so he just gets straight to the point. That is not a bad attitude. Getting straight to the point sometimes comes across as very blunt and intimidating and is often misinterpreted as a “bad attitude”.To those people who disagree with my assessment of him, try to perform the same job in less time and less money and end up with the same quality of fix in the end. I doubt most people could come close. But before you do that, fix 15 of your friends’ vehicle issues first, and see if your job gets done that day or that week?BTW, I don’t know Joe personally. I had never done business with him before. I just think he is an incredible mechanic and performed a marvelous job on my bike for the appropriate amount of cost. I had taken my bike to two other shops before, and they could not fix most of the issues I had on my list. Plus, the owner of the bike before me took it to a shop to prepare to sell it. The shop he used didn’t fix the bike either as I inherited all of these issues.

I took my H3 Hummer to Joe for a quote on a back axle. It needed to be completely rebuilt and he had the parts ordered and in shop within a few days. He called me during the fix as there was an unseen problem which required more work and another part but showed me and explained before continuing. He also pointed out that the brakes and rotors needed replaced (they were worn paper thin). I had taken it to 3 other mechanics before being lucky enough to find this place! The others didn't have the tools, quoted me way too high, and or were afraid to work on it. He gave me a great price and did a wonderful job! Had it back on the road the next week and it's been running perfect ever since. I spoke with him just a few days ago to have him check a few other things it may need done and will be dropping it back off soon! Highly recommend! A+

I was glad to be able to have Joe fix my Hornet 919 while on a road trip. I was grateful that he worked on my bike right away without any appointment, knowing that I was in the middle of my road trip and couldn't stick around too long.He adjusted my chain slack and then later replaced it when the problem persisted. He also replaced my rear sprocket, although I wish he had the right size on hand so that my gas mileage doesn't suffer.Joe got my bike going again in a good time and at a reasonable price. Thanks, again!

The owner helped me and my boyfriend with an alignment. We were heading back home to Wheeling WV and after having a blowout and 4 new tires put on vehicle all we wanted to do is make the 4hr trip back home so we got this done. Thank you again for helping us try to stay as safe as possible. When we are in the area and should need car service we will definitely return to Hawk's for the service. Again we thank you !!Service: Wheel alignment

If you want your car cared for like it’s the mechanics own vehicle, take your car here. As a young adult who doesn’t know much about cars, I do know this, I was treated with the upmost respect, my car was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be coming in for any future mishaps and car care.

Came in to get my check engine light diagnosed which needed a "smoke test" done I called several places and all of them told me a smoke test would cost 200 or more. Went to Joe he charged me 115 to diagnose the problem , the piece he had to change plus labor cost 318, and he also found another problem underneath my car which could have caused me to flip my vehicle or have a bad car accident. Overall I paid 1800 for it all to be fixed. Price was a bit high but the work was done and my vehicle was fixed ! Joe was very helpful.

So...don't let those good reviews fool you...this guy was so incredibly rude to us. We made an appointment a week ahead of time...apparently that means nothing. We took our bike (for an oil change and fuel diagnostic) on the day of the appointment and he told my husband it would be a week before he would even touch the bike. What good was the appointment then? A courtesy call saying that hes behind and need to change the appointment so that I didnt have to go to work late would have been much more polite. Not just that, he said "you don't get to pick when your bike gets worked on". How freaking rude! We usually pick smaller shops because it's more personal and you get quality work. Guess he was too overloaded to care about being nice. Lost our business and our referrals. Glad it wasn't our Harley that day. Good luck.

I have a 2013 f 150 that was making a grinding noise in the front. Took it there and the next morning they called and told me what it was and had it done before I got off work. Excellent work. Truck rides 10 times better. Both wheel bearings were bad. They also aired up my tires cause they have slow leaks and Joe informed me that my brakes will need done soon. Highly recommend this place for auto and motorcycle repair. Very reasonable prices and fast work. Thanks againService: General repairs & maintenance
