This remodel is nothing short of a nightmare. The aisle set up is a bizarre maze, the fruit/vegetable area is a jumbled mess. Looking for coffee creamer? Don't look in the half&half area... it's not there. This update is a dismal failure, and not going to get better.

It's close and convenient, but the store looks really dirty. Sometimes it smells bad. Some of the witches at the service counter are very rude and unpleasant. They should clean house over there. Now I'm shopping at Meijer. Oh yeah, I bought a money order there also, but didn't use it. Still all attached. They wouldn't refund me. They want to cash it like a payroll check and charge me $4. Stupid asses. I ask to speak to a manager, but they just blew me off. They can all go to Hell...

Full: False. This Kroger often fails to restock its best sellers in a timely fashion. Fresh: Definitely false. Do not buy fresh--or more appropriately, nearly expired--produce here. Friendly: You're kidding right? Some don't speak at all, some are outright rude, and many workers will dilly-dally at their jobs, at the customer's expense. Some might argue they should be paid more, but in my world, you demonstrate a good work ethic BEFORE a raise or promotion, not after. Other frequent issues: Aisles and egress being barricaded by equipment and machinery. Some of the machinery is not allowed to be on the floor during shopping hours according to company policy due to the safety risk and general obnoxious-ness of it, but this Kroger is not beyond breaking their own rules. This place is in desperate need of proper management. Or a motto that is less deceptive.

Spoke with Naomi who is the supervisor in customer service, I called on behalf of a mutual client wanting to cash a money order that was written out to him. The gentleman that answered the phone was very polite and said that they could not do that. To further educate myself since I work in banking and may come across this problem again I wanted to know the reasoning. I hear his supervisor (Naomi) in the background say tell her "it's just policy" as she picked up the phone I explained the situation to where she abruptly cut me off and said again "we just don't do that anymore". I told her if she didn't cut me off she would've heard why I was asking more questions to better clarify. She was completely rude. Definitely wouldn't recommend asking for help there.

Very friendly staff. Almost every time I come in they are always going above and beyond to make my experience great. This particular time I had a young cashier, her name was Breanna and she was very kind as well as her bagger Autumn. I forgot to add my digital coupons but she looked them up for me and took them off for me! Greatly appreciated! It does really suck that you have to wait for someone of age to scan alcohol these days in time. But still had a great experience with these two young ladies.

Had a wonderful grocery experience thanks to a young bagger, Breanna?, that assisted me in finding Bruno's apple cider vinegar and later even found my vehicle as I searched aimlessly in the parking lot! Lol! Thanks again!!

This Kroger is a little out of our way for our normal routes but occasionally it does fall into our path on our way home from downtown Dayton. And frankly if we even remotely need anything, I like to stop here. It's not one of their marketplace locations with all the fancy bells and whistles but the place is laid out well, has a better than average selection, and a really good deli. And generally it is not too crowded (at lest while we are there). And we always have received pleasant service. So, in a way I guess we do go out of our way to stop here. Check it out.

This is my go to grocery store. Usually has a great selection in produce, fast lines because they open a ton of em up, and the employers are really helpful. Really nothing to complain about here. Although there was one time I was making salsa and they didn't have the pepper I was looking for...might've been out of season to be fair.

This kroger is usually organized and stocked until I guess the higher ups decide to completely move the entire store around which has happened 2 or 3 times and it's so aggravating! Shoppers have little time to spend in a store and when you keep changing the food isles it makes it extremely frustrating and a lot longer shopping trip for customers and their children! What is the point of changing all the isles, making all the customers search and search for their regular items? Are you hoping we will pickup a few more items on our search for what we came to the store for? If so, that's the complete opposite feeling I get, I want to leave and not return. I finally found an associate who gave me a paper stating items and what isle they were in and it was wrong! I finally was so done that I told my cashier who had to leave her station to find my item in a completely different isle than the paper guide! I don't think you should move things around like this, I know everything is about marketing but maybe have correct isle guide papers or extra employees hanging around to assist all the customers going up and down all the isles looking frustrated because they can't find anything anymore.

I came here with my daughter and grandson Jude when I was spending the weekend in Dayton. This is a somewhat smaller store similar to the one on Vine Street in Cincinnati. The parking lot could use a little bit of repair but is of more than adequate size. They had the display with free fruit for the younger kids to eat while their parents shop. We followed my daughter's routine in such stores and found some great marked down produce including mangos and apples. We both got our free Kroger Friday Download item. In the meat department we found some great marked down thick cut bacon to buy. Our cashier was friendly and efficient. She helped me when my previously mentioned free download item was not subtracted from my bill. This is a nice store to visit for a quick shopping trip especially with an almost 2 year old child like my grandson. Until next time be kind to each other, #kroger

So, let's start with the surface thoughts shall we. I have an issue in general with Kroger because the FreshFare Kroger in Kettering, or the Market Place Kroger in Englewood are far and above better than Krogers you see in areas where their Customers have Economical "challenges." Dearest Kroger, all people enjoy Cheese and a diverse selection of it. All of your Customers enjoy fresh and well displayed Fruits, Vegotables and Meat. Please don't allow yourselves to continue in the fashion of placing a lower standard of product in specific areas. This Kroger is clean, which I appeciate and cheers to the people who stock these shelves. The Products are almost always perfectly allocated. Sign verbage is clear and the register reflects what the signs say. The deals arfe great, and the "on the go meal prep" options are perfect and well priced. All income levels can find something here. It also, thankfully dodges the semi bourgeois atmosphere you feel at Dorothy Lane Market, Whole Foods, or Trader Joes. Also cheers on your selection of culturally diverse selections. If your not buying Goya yall, your missin out. Cheers Kroger, and please let your management know, the Westside of Dayton is vastly underserved. They're aware of it, they blame you, and you could be missing an oppertunity without knowing it. The Customer will be commited and loyal, if they are well served.

The meat and produce are good. The employees are hit or miss. The Starbucks & the Murray's Cheese departments have fantastic employees. They are polite, friendly, helpful and quick. Every other department is a toss up. You might get someone helpful, you might get someone rude &/or incompetent. Last visit, the chicken I got from the meat counter was so badly wrapped that it fell out loose in the bag. The cashier today was borderline rude and didn't care that she squashed my loaf of bread. The bagger was worse. Other customers are often rude (everything from stealing parking spots to literally shoving you out of the way). The prices are average- some items are cheaper here, some are cheaper elsewhere. The store itself was a disorganized mess with items not near their prices and a lot out of stock. Overall, not recommended.

It's currently 3 degrees Fahrenheit outside, inside this store it's 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Don't bring your children, babies or the elderly here or they may literally freeze to death in a matter of minutes while shopping. Kroger corporate says 15 degrees is normal for this location?

Watch out! This place can get pretty busy on the weekends. But it's worth it because you can find everything you need - fresh produce, bulk items, organic meats, frozen items and tempting baked goods! I always like to use the self check out especially here. There are these Young kids who work these registers and I swear they magically appear the moment you press the "call help" button. And instead of acting like annoyed teenagers, they are quite friendly!
