The Kirtland Temple, dedicated in 1836, is a significant spiritual and historic site owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Faithfully restored and maintained by the Community of Christ since 1880, the temple is now open to the public for tours. Visitors are impressed by the large, ornate building constructed with limited resources, despite the heartbreak of the original owners being forced to leave it. The temple's brilliant white exterior and shining spirit captivate guests, who describe the experience as sublime, life-changing, and filled with a profound sense of sacredness. The tour guides provide informative and engaging presentations, allowing visitors to feel the deep faith and divine presence that permeates this historic site.
Great experience. The tour was something special. I'd recommend it.

An amazing experience to visit the first temple built in the US.

How people in the early 1800s could build such a large, ornate building, with so little money, is impressive. Then to be forced to leave it, is heartbreaking.
