Gorgeous venue for a wedding. The onsite catering left much to be desired. Drunk/ sick staff wrenching in the bathroom and knocking stuff over breaking things. The bride got hit in the face with flying glass. Spent $300 for one sheet pizza for a late night snack that was like sprinkled cheese and cardboard. I will recommend the smoore bar, but it was set up 4 rooms over from the dance floor. Hidden fees, unresponsive coordinators, oh and ice covered sidewalks with no attempt to salt or clear hazards. Maybe in the summer you get better attention from the staff but they def called it in for my event.

We had our wedding here in July 2021 and I cannot say enough good things about Mooreland. We used the gardens for our engagement pictures and our wedding photos, and they are absolutely stunning. From its beautiful antiquated atmosphere to Normandy catering’s quality of food, everything was so lovely. The only reason I am writing a review two years later is because we are expecting our first child in July. I was hoping to take a few maternity photos in the gardens as well. It seems Kathy is no longer in charge of things, and the new manager is not as kind, and would not allow us to use the gardens for that purpose. I was hoping to be sentimental and have our love story unfold in the same place over the years, but this new manager, Tawny, won’t allow that to happen. I’m certain Kathy would have been able to accommodate after I explained the importance of the gardens. Just be aware that if you decide to have your wedding here, you likely won’t be allowed to return and reminisce over the good times. Very unfortunate.

FOR BIG WEDDINGS ONLY - I thought this would have been a beautiful venue for a small wedding and reception and would have reasonable rates considering it's affiliated with the community college. There is a list on their website for room rates and also info on catering prices but when I called to inquire I was told that those room rates were only for corporate meetings and they have a minimum fee $10,000 for weddings. It would be helpful to have these things listed on your website if the room rates do not apply to weddings and a minimum amount to have a wedding there so there is no confusion when viewing information on their website.

Beautiful historic house. Needs some work, though. Paint in many places needs scraping and a fresh coat. Rear deck needs replacement. Rose garden was just thorny bushes, wrong time of year I guess! Grounds could use some professional landscaping.Food was good. Service was good. Probably would be fine for a party of 100 or less.

Came to this establishment for a wedding, very elegant. I chose salmon with steamed mixed vegetables and red skin potatoes and everything was very good. The venue did a beautiful job.

I attended to an outdoor wedding here in the early 2000's. I swore to myself if I ever remarried, this would be the venue. Everything was beautiful! The ceremony, the grounds & the catering was stellar. I hope I find the right guy again♥️♥️♥️♥️

Beautiful mansion with professional staff. But one of the boards on the patio broke while being walked on and the person ended up spraining her ankle because of it.

We got married at the mansion at the end of October 2021. We had our ceremony in the rose garden, and then dancing and dinner inside. We fell in love with the mansion when we first pulled up to it. The location was significant for us as my husband and I met eachother close by.The mansion and grounds were gorgeous. Definitely worthy of 5 stars. The food from Normandy Catering was fantastic as well, no complaints there. The planning of the event was less than ideal. We had one event coordinator that left the company 2 months before our big day. Then, the woman that replaced her left the week of our wedding. We were then on to our third event coordinator days before the wedding. The bridal party had to step up and help with decorations, planning, etc. the day of… which was frustrating as we were told that their staff would assist in setting everything up.The seats in the ceremony space were soaking wet from the rain the day before, and no one was around to address last minute issues like these. At the end of the day, our wedding was pure magic and I wouldn’t change our venue for anything. With that being said, the staff (or lack thereof) made it a stressful and exhausting experience leading up to the wedding day.

Our daughters guests had prime rib or chicken. Both were excellent. My only issues were the guest parking. It's a little bit of a walk to and from. There DJ had issues with the house sound system buzzing. I've worked with this DJ for years and his system is top notch. Service was excellent. Other than those fews items everything was beautiful.

Mooreland Mansion is gorgeous location for a wedding. You can not take a bad photo inside or outside. Staff was extremely helpful and attentive to every detail. This was a great location for our company to work out and look forward to working there in the future!
