Every time I go there, it is closed when they are supposed to be open. When by chance they are open, you have to find an employee so you can check out. Very frustrating to say the least.

A real big disappointment. I cannot count how many times I have gone there and they are just plain closed. I have decided I am just going to drive all the way into Port Clinton to go to that Dollar General even though it is 6 miles each way out of my direction. I did go to the Dollar General today in Lakeside Marblehead when they were open and purchased some TheraFlu. However when I got home I realized one of the boxes expired July 3 of 2023. I would think that you can at least especially when it comes to over-the-counter medication‘s you would be able to check expiration dates and get rid of old product. I am really gonna have a hard time going back to that store again.

this place is having a tough time making it work. they are usually closed during business hours and when they are open they are out of almost everything. the parking lot is in disrepair to the point that it could damage your car. it would be easy to blame employees for the store failing since they are the face of the business but i suspect it's not entirely their fault..

Convenient location but the store is a mess. Can bearly walk down the asiles as they have carts, freight, boxes and trash everywhere. This is a huge safety hazard and fire exists are always blocked. The employees stand behind register or in the office talking loudly about their personal life and customers. In the past 2 weeks I have stopped there 4 times and each time there is a note on the door that they are closing at 6pm, closing at 8 pm, closing at 5 pm, and today they were closed at 3 pm. The essentials are never in stock. If I have to go to Walmart after each visit to get what I need, then I'm wasting my time even stopping in the first place. Not sure how a business is ran this way.

All the self checkouts are no longer self checkouts and require an employee to watch. Long line moved quickly and it was clean.

I'd give this store zero stars if I could They advertise that they are open til 10. Went there tonight and they had closed at 7. Hand printed sign on the door. I had to drive into Port Clinton to pick up some supplies. Done with this place.

Came at 915 am doors were locked. It was raining 3 cars in parking lot and the young man put the finger up to tell me to wait. After he opened up the inside was a mess. I could barely make it down isles stock was not put away and the shelves were empty. I literally had to climb over stuff to get cat treats. Seeing this is a vacation town I expect more out of the only dollar store close to the lake.

This place is great for quick in and out purchases. They have a great variety of essentials and the prices are reasonable compared to other local retailers. The ease of getting your items and out the door in less than a minute is what makes this place great. Also a great location given the lack of proximity to other similar businesses.
