Rooms: First floor rooms have new flooring.
Nearby activities: Really enjoyed Bergman orchards, Ciao Bella Italian Restaurant and drive on Catawba island.
Walkability: EVERYTHING is walkable in Lakeside!
Food and drinks: Ooh la la was open for breakfast & lunch. Patio had donuts & coffee

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I’ve been inside of it and it’s absolutely gorgeous. I actually use the hotels location of my GPS to get to Lakeside but with that said I want to say it’s a lovely hotel. The views are amazing.

Outstanding location and venue. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. The food was amazing and delicious. As a performer I’m in spaces all over the United States so I am used to experiencing all levels of quality. Hotel Lakeside is in my top ten of amazing historic lake resort hotels. Everything is well maintained and you could not have more pleasant staff.

Room was dirty, carpet very stained and spiders in the ceiling. Absolutely no place to park!! Tons of motel rooms and no place to park!! Terrible.
Beautiful sunny day, 78 degrees and the pool was closed!!! Well Lakeside, I really want to like you but 2 stars is a stretch. 5 stars for the location and way to go Lake Erie! That is all Lakeside has going for it!!

You're really paying for the location for this hotel, but I would suggest staying literally anywhere else in lakeside. The room was straight up dirty when we arrived. There was a dusty cobweb hanging from the lamp by the bed. There's dust and dirt up and down the peeling wallpaper.
The wifi is bad. There's no hot water any time between the hours of 8 and 10 am due to use. The staff was friendly and helpful, but all super young

Haven't stayed there. The lobby and dining room have the classically 1800s summer resort town vibe. Of course, here it's authentic. Haven't seen any rooms or service, though the gift shop lady and the front desk were friendly. See the 2024 rate sheet.
Walkability: All is within the private Lakeside s
Shataqua community.

I only had lunch here, so I'm not aware of the rooms. But the food was good, and great customer service. It has a beautiful Ocean view in the rear.

We went to see All -4-one on Friday great show. We also got some great rest and and some quality time together. Lake Erie was so peaceful and perfect.

Was never offered the food vouchers that I found out about after my 3 day stay, I was told they were mentioned in th confirmation letter, ya no they aren’t , $75 worth not gotten, glad I had 2 beds because the bed by the Window had dozens of little ants all over it. Dont order broccoli or baked sweet potato in restaurant unless you want food like gross baby food mush. Nothing was done about the vouchers not really even an apology
Yeah the lakeside area is beautiful and relaxing but stay somewhere else than lakeside hotel

There were dead mosquitoes all over my room and spider webs. Very untidy and unkept.

Lovely hotel with a ton of history. Built in 1885! I wonder if it’s haunted… reason for not 5 stars is because I came to the 3rd floor to drop off something for my friend and I noticed they keep a folding mattress and other random things in the hallway. I feel like that should be in a storage unit instead…
Nearby activities: Tons of things to do for fun in the community, very close to ice cream shops and the pier.
Walkability: In the middle of the heart of Lakeside Marblehead.
