Employees are regularly not at the register, off stocking shelves or in the backroom, or who knows where. They leave a bell at the counter, and even sounding it does not make them arrive from whatever corner of the store they're hiding in. When the bell doesn't work, and a customer is forced to yell to get service, the employee is then rude about having been summoned to do their job. Should probably reevaluate having only one employee in the store, or having a better system to summon them from limbo.
