I have gone to Tom Ahl for a number of years to purchase our vehicles, and I have always worked with one salesman. This afternoon I went in to test drive some trucks my salesman was busy with two other customers. Ironically, no other salespeople were with other customers. Upon returning from a test drive, I sat and waited for my salesman to become available. Not once did any of the other salespeople come and ask if they could help me. They could have easily helped in showing me other vehicles. After waiting for 25 minutes, someone brought out 3 or 4 pies. The salespeople and others from the offices came dashing to the location of the pies. At that point I left. My salesman called later to apologize. Maybe there is a reason the other salespeople had no customers and mine had 3. Absolutely inexcusable!

Fourth trip in for repairs. Parts always late. Still can’t fix my cruise control problem. Going to Delphos or St. Marys next time. Service rep. was great, but repair techs don’t know what they’re doing??

I would give more stars but I had to wait almost a month to get my Ram repaired. I now have it back. My Ram had sat for so long at the repair facility that now the starter solenoid is going bad. I wish could have left a better review. The staff is nice and helpful. If not for that this would have been a 1 or 2 star review. I have not contacted them about the starter issue yet. I will update the rating up or down depending on how they respond to the news that the starter seems to be having issues.Update:I spoke with service and they did not seem to want to discuss the issue. Basically just said this is a separate issue. Even though I explained this had to have been doing this when it was there. I am dropping the review to 2 stars. Not because they did not do the repair of the starter but because they really didn’t even want to discuss this could be a result of the long wait time and we’re just very dismissive.

My purchase at Tom Ahl in Lima went very well. From the test drive to the final paper work it went smooth. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The worker that helped me with my buy was Adam H. On September 18, my Jeep Renegade wouldn’t start, displaying multiple warnings. I took a video hoping it would be helpful. When I bought my vehicle I purchased the extra warranty, which has come in handy two other times. I called Tom Ahl to let them know what was going on and that I took a video to show them all the warnings displayed.I had the Jeep towed and rented a car. Assuming when you drop the vehicle off to service you’re actually making an appointment, I was surprised to find out when I called to follow up they were trying to squeeze it in. It took them 17 days to LOOK at my Jeep. Ended up being my battery but until it was replaced they weren’t sure if there was any other issues.Next day I picked up my Jeep and while paying for the repair and the rental car, the service staff informed me that if he would have known I jumped my Jeep to get it there he would have put it through the express check, which would have been a lot faster. (Wish I would have known express was an option before I had to pay 18 days for rental car)I was furious at this point because I never had it jumped but offered them my video showing them everything that was lightning up. When I asked him why my check battery light didn’t come on and why everything else was going crazy, he said when there isn’t enough power, it will cycle through the other warnings. He also informed me that the battery light doesn’t come on when you need a battery. I’m sorry what??Unbelievable.

The service was great! Traveling from Canada to Tennessee and having problems with our vehicle creates stress. Staff understood and did all they could, in a timely manner, to get us back on the road.

I love Tom Ahl. But. I had 2 extra batteries in my car that came up missing. I was then informed that some of the cars were broken into although that is not their fault had I never called I would not have known. I would 100% recommend if your leaving your vehicle to be serviced to lock it.

I visited on 9/16/23. I lost my key fob for my Ram 1500 and needed a new fob, and for it to be programmed. I called and spoke to Sam on the phone on a Tuesday 9/12/23, he said yes we have “50” of those fobs (That was his words, I assumed it was an exaggeration but I figured it meant they had multiple) and that it was $50 for the fob and $60 for programming. At such a great price I figured I would get a fob and a backup. I get to the dealership on Saturday after paying to have my truck towed there and having a buddy drive up to drive me to the dealership, I speak to the same person I spoke with on the phone, and he tells me not only do they have zero fobs in store, but it would actually be $250 plus the programming fee and that I was SOL until the following Tuesday. He said someone must have sold the key and not put it in the system or misplaced it. After saying this he never once went to go look for it in other drawers of fobs. I spoke to another gentlemen and filed a complaint. This gentlemen spoke to Sam and they told me I could drive to another dealership and get the key and bring it back to them, but I would still have to wait until the next week because they were going to close and programming takes at least an hour. (They closed in 40 minutes) After the other gentlemen told Sam to check another drawer, he miraculously found the $250 fob that I all of a sudden now needed instead of the $50. They said they would program it. (Which they did in 15 minutes, not an hour, so I could have gone to the other dealer and they could have done it the same day, they are just lazy and don’t actually care for their customers) I walk across the street and get groceries from Walmart, I planned on walking back, putting them in the truck, and heading back inside to pay and get the fob. The other gentlemen cuts me off in the parking lot and tells me to sit my groceries down in the middle of the parking lot because they were about to close. I guess them staying open 3 more minutes for me to go to my truck would just inconvenience them. All in all, if you want a simple fix, DO NOT COME HERE. They are con artists that tell you one thing and scam you over. Your $110 dollar easy fix that should take an hour turns into a $310 fix that causes an absolute headache. I will NEVER be coming back here and I advise you shouldn’t either if you value your time or money.

Got a detailed maintenance report after warranty work. I want to mention that when that maintenance to be better on the brakes as I had to replace slide pins as they was froze up on 1 caliper when replacing rotors and brakes all 4 wheels. Also did grease the side pins better

Everyone at Tom Ahl was so so helpful! This was the first car I had to finance when I purchased it and all my questions were answered! Huge shout out to Dave Woolf for his work and Dustin Dye! They are very kind and pleasant to work with! Would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone.

I had to drop my vehicle off at Tom Ahl without an appointment as the Alternator went out. I called Monday morning and talked to Marlon who said it could be several weeks before they could squeeze it in. But they would do their best. A day and a half later it was fixed. Perfect customer service! And Thank You!

I really needed advice about the need for an oil change since the oil life said I had 69% oil life left. We had the oil changed in Wilmington, NC before we left in April. The mileage said it was due but the date wasn’t due until October. When I went into Tom Ahl, Adam answered my questions and said their schedule was about 3 weeks out, but they had an express service I could use for situations like this. Adam got me in/out in less than an hour. Great service! Thanks Adam!!!

Will not use again. I have used them for years both for maintaince and car purchases. I had a 9am appointment. They didn't start working on it until I called at 130. I had to make the appointment a month in advance. My extended warranty company said the job should take 2 hours and service said it was going to take 2.8 and I was responsible for the .8 at 135 per hour.
