Crap hours, crap pay, not so great management. I loved working there and enjoyed the company of customers who would come through my line and we could spark up a conversation, make jokes, and even formed friendships. However, there were customers that would come in and ridicule me for my short hair, calling me a lesbian, a dyke, or when their grandchild would ask why I had short hair, the grandparent would respond with "she has issues". I put up with a lot, never went to my manager to complain because what would've been the point? Nothing would've happened. However, two older women came through my line, one in her 30's and the other in her 50's, and because they wanted pictures and I am not trained in pictures I offered to get someone to help them, which only angered them more. I was threatened to be dragged over the counter, and told as one of them walked away, "well see you after work". To which I responded not too well too. The manager didn't call the police, and I ended up losing my job due to the use of "profanity" and "intimidating a customer" though the customers directed every word in the book at me, and threatened me, and INTIMIDATED ME. But the funniest part of it all? The assistant manager told my mother that he asked me if I wanted him to call the police, which is a lie, and I was never asked that, because if I was, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD'VE pressed charges. So if you want to work somewhere where you are valued and treated with respect, look somewhere else because Drugmart in Lodi is not that place. Drugmart really does value their customers, because they'd rather allow alcoholics, druggies, and the most ignorant of all people, especially those who threaten MINORS on multiple accounts, to continue to shop there.
