Gonzalez Grocery is a family owned business serving the community for over 25 years. It is a very clean, friendly market with wonderful Puerto Rican fresh foods, widely considered the best Spanish food in the area. They serve Puerto Rican food and bake fresh bread and pastries daily, featuring many hometown favorites. Their menu includes items made daily like pasteles, morcilla, alcapurrias, rice, empanadillas, and sandwiches criollo on their own fresh-baked bread. The bakery offers quesitos, flans, budin, pastelillos de guayaba, and tembleque. They have plenty of take-out dishes and a well-stocked grocery. Customers praise the absolutely delicious food, perfect prices, and great service, noting the staff is extremely nice and polite. The business has its own parking area for customers.

From my limited experience, this place is as close as you can find a traditional Puerto Rican bakery in Lorain. Steam trays full of food, made to order menu, and the basics of a convenience shop. I have been going there for 20+ years. Muy bueno.
