I am at Lowes or Home Depot at least 3 times a week since i am working on some very large projects this summer. Typically, I have no issues at the Lorain Lowes, but yesterday I spent 20 minutes trying to get someone to help me at the flooring desk. I needed to purchase almost 700 square feet of carpet. I'm not sure what the problem was as I kept hitting the button for help nobody responded to it. One guy even walked right by me and didn't acknowledge me even though the speaker system was like "dude needs help at flooring" over 20 times. Home Depot didn't have anything we liked, so we ended up buying carpet at Jamie's Carpet Shop. Honestly, i should be happy about this whole experience because Jamie's Carpet is an excellent spot to buy carpet and i would have never known about it if Lowes would have helped me. I'm still giving 3 stars because, like i said, most of the time i go here, it is pretty decent.

BEWARE OF THIS STORE !!!! I was told if I opened a Lowes credit card that I would receive a 20% discount & 6 months same as cash because my purchase was over $299. Spent $500. When I received my credit card statement I did not see a promotional balance listed. I called Synchrony Bank, they said you cannot get both the 20% discount and the same as cash. I spoke with a manager who said this would need to be handled on a store level. I contacted the store, the ASM on duty referred me to customer care. I was given the wrong phone number & customer care transferred me back to Synchrony Bank who told me once again that the store would need to handle this .... I called the store again, spoke to a different manager who stated they cannot help, despite being given wrong information by a store employee. The reason I opened the card was for the discount and the 6 months same as cash. So now I'm stuck with either paying $100 more for a product I could have gotten less expensive (without the discount) elsewhere to get the same as cash, paying $500 that I wasn't expecting to pay by July 7th, or be charged Synchrony Banks astronomical interest rate of 31.99%. The only reason I opened a credit card was for the discount and the same as cash. Horrible customer service on all ends, the person who gave me wrong information, the store managers, and Synchrony Bank.

Have bought two mowers there in last month. First one they returned second one they told me call manufacturer which is impossible. Wasn’t even 30 days. Had to return a snowblower last year after it worked twice. It’s well known Lowe’s and HD get manufacturers low quality retail product. I took the bait. I was a fool. Highly recommending not buying any appliances at Lowes. Their manager Ken was completely rude and basically hung up on me and told me to go pound sand.

The majority of the staff seemed to be pissed off, and I'm not going to judge somebody by their appearance. However, their are a few of them that are expecting people to say something about their appearance, so to me, that means they have a problem with their own appearance if they're expecting. They should just do their job and not worry about what other people think. They are cheaper than Home Depot, and it is one of the few places that give a veterans discount and have four parking spaces for veteran parking. Overall, I would give them an eight out of ten.
