Mohican State Park is a beautiful and secluded park with thousands of wooded acres and stunning views. The wild landscape features Clear Fork Gorge, Lyon's Falls, and the Mohican State Scenic River. It offers something for everyone, with about 30 different hiking trails ranging from easy to extreme, beautiful scenery, and plenty of spaces to relax. Must-sees include the castle and the fall colors.
Overnight accommodations include a modern full-service lodge, a large family campground with a pool, deluxe vacation cabins, and primitive stream-side camping. The lodge and grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with friendly staff. The restaurant has good food with large portions and a great weekend brunch buffet. Amenities include an outdoor pool, a year-round indoor pool, and video games.
Nearby Pleasant Hill Lake offers boating with no horsepower limits and a no-wake area for paddlers and anglers. Canoeing is also available through a rental location. The park is a great place for family reunions, with playgrounds, parks, and abundant camping. It is a must-see and the best state park in the state.
This is an amazing state park. It is only one hour drive away from Columbus. There are many interesting and difficult trails, and amazing scenic spots. The view at the dam and grass overlook impressed me. Autumn is a perfect time to visit this beautiful and challenging state park.

Amazing state park and campsite. Relaxing. Fun. Extremely well kept. Quiet but friendly. Restrooms/showers are well kept. 10/10 recommend a river trip of any sort.

Rented a cabin to spend a week there. So much to do and see. Went on a great hike, saw and spent time at all of the local attractions. Went also ate at some great, local establishments. Very enjoyable and we will be back.
