Dr Henehan and his crew of people at Wards Corner Animal Hospital are the absolute best, most caring and helpful vets around. I have been coming to Dr Henehan since I was a kid and he has shown every single one of my animals the best care, from rats to cats to dogs. We love you all!

I just want to say that I am not giving this one star review to the front staff -they were lovely and very understanding. This is strictly towards Dr. Henehan and his treatment towards me, my mom, and my two ferrets, Moe and Eva. I came in on Saturday and told Dr. Henehan the symptoms of both of my ferrets, that they were lethargic, throwing up, and had diarrhea- but I was mainly concerned about Moe as his stomach was distended and I didn’t know if there was a blockage or not. Dr. Henehan immediately took Moe and felt his stomach and said that it wasn’t a blockage but fluid in his abdomen. He offered to do an X-Ray to which we agreed. He showed up after with Moe saying that the X-Ray indicated that there was fluid in there and he knew what it was- a virus found in one out of three ferrets that is always fatal and that Moe was going to die. He said that he could drain the fluid but it would be no use because the fluid would just come back and that we’d have to come back every week to drain it. After that, he asked about my ferret Eva and if she was eating at all- to which we stated that she was. We asked if she had the same thing as Moe and he said that it was likely and to just keep an eye on her to see if her symptoms worsen. So my mom asked what the next steps were and he said “well I want to put that one down today (points to moe), and I want you to keep an eye on the other one.” My ferrets are living beings with names and he treated them like they were nothing but gum on the bottom of a shoe. I also noticed that he was trying hard to get rid of us as there were other patients but he was nothing but rude to us so we decided to reschedule the euthanasia and get a second opinion. So I went to a different veterinary clinic - All Creatures in Amelia- and it turns out all of my ferrets have coccidia and Moe had NO free fluid in his abdomen. They did an ultrasound and a fecal analysis to determine the illness- they didn’t do an X-Ray and make assumptions like Dr. Henehan did.I will never come back to Wards Corner- Dr.Henehan almost killed my ferret when he misdiagnosed him. I should have done further research on this vet as he clearly doesn’t specialize in ferrets or other exotic animals even though he said he does. He lacks compassion and will do anything to get more money out of you.Oh and by the way this whole visit cost me $310 dollars for an X-Ray and four shots while my visit to the other clinic cost me $380 with even more testing and antibiotics- and they treated ALL of my ferrets not just one.

If you are a PERSON OF COLOR DO NOT I repeat DO NOT GO HERE. They only wanted to take my cash, they didn’t try to be helpful. My cat has a medical condition and they didn’t care. They wanted the money. They told me they were the ONLY place where I could get my cats prescription food they wanted to keep my cats records and my new vet had to get it from them. They’re racist and they’re all bout the money WORST VET ON THE PLANET thank god I changed to a better vet will not recommend and I’ve warned everyone about them

Dr. Tim is a good man, and thorough. Highly recommended. We had the misfortune of a terminally ill cat, and Dr. Tim gave the correct diagnosis. On a happy note, we then adopted two brothers from Dr. Tim and the staff. We take them to Wards Corner annually for their checkups and shots. Listen people. Caring for an animal is expensive. Do the right thing and follow the advice of your vet.

We went here for about 2 years with our first dog before we realized how rude Dr. hennehan truly was. Not only did he not respect our dog, no talking to dog or making sure they felt comfortable, but also constantly was condescending to us. The last straw was when my dog needed an allergy shot and they put a zip tie around his snout bc he was barking. This was shocking as we’ve always gotten compliments of my dogs good manners. At my new vet, the vet gets on floor with my dog, gives treats, and we have zero issues with barking, zip ties, and we all feel respected. Thankfully we left when we did.

I wanted to update my review. The staff was amazing in taking care of our chameleon Craig. They were very loving to him each time we were in. We just said goodbye to Craig and they took great care in those last moments.

Doc is great! Clearly passionate about his patients. The techs are all very helpful and compassionate. However, whoever is at the front desk answering phones, checking people out...she's not friendly. She is not like the others. She was irritated upon my first time there. She was irritated when I called... she is just clearly overly exhausted or something and it is effecting her professional life. If you are thinking about taking your animal here, don't let her unfriendly demeanor deter you. It's a really great place.

My husband and I brought our puppy to this veterinarian for his puppy shots and were not impressed. In our experience, the vet did not examine our puppy and equated every concern we had to the food we were feeding him and proceeded to try to convince us to buy the food he sells. The vet also hardcore judged us for purchasing our puppy from a respected Amish family. We canceled our next appointment and left. The voicemails that the company left in the following weeks contained wrong information about our puppy. Calling him a girl, calling him the wrong breed, and wrong name. Please do not waste your money or time at this place. Super expensive and condescending.A "Exam" may have been documented. But the vet did not check his joints or feel his movement, and only glanced in his ears and at his teeth. In my opinion, that is not a physical exam. Leaning on the counter and looking at a dog is not an exam.
