It's definitely not a place you'd want to stay for a week or linger.... heck, I wouldn't recommend more than a day or two at best! The staff is not friendly, nor do they greet/acknowledge you as you pass them by. They always look mad! I've not seen a smile yet by anyone on their staff. No one can truly tell you about the housekeeping policy! They will enter your room without notice, and without cleaning, there's a bump out thump you hear all night throughout the night. I also had to have maintenance fix a couple of issues in our room, like changing the bulb, stuck door...
After a couple of nights, someone's from housekeeping came into our room to empty the trash and replenish the soap/shampoo etc however, they never touched the bed or cleaned the room. Mind you, one the website, it clearly states that housekeeping is available upon request!
Please, don't be fooled by the "full breakfast." The food was okay, the juices had to be diluted as they were too syrupy, the coffee is extremely weak that it tastes like water. I'll give them this; they do try to make it feel as if you're at home at breakfast with providing you with actual plates, bowls, and silverware. However, in this day and age, I'll take the disposable dining ware; thank you!
If you are a smoker, it is not allowed anywhere on the property to include outside. Signage is posted everywhere outside as a reminder that it is not allowed.
It is conveniently located next to the mall. However, that's not an attraction for me.

I had a poor experience at another hotel in the Cleveland area. I had a late flight and really wanted to settle in. However, the other hotel was so disappointing and filthy that I left a couple hours after checking i - and after trying four or five different rooms.
I sought a place to go to at 3am, decided to try switching to the Hyatt brand-- and found a Hyatt Place in a shopping/ living/ dining area. I called. The phone was answered by a friendly, alert voice who confirmed that rooms were available. I had not unpacked... so I informed the hotel that I was leaving and went to Hyatt Place.
Enough about the old place and terrible experience:
Regarding Hyatt Place:
If/when I return to Cleveland, this is where I stay.
The front desk professional- because that was her demeanor- welcomed me, got me checked in.
The property is clean.
The sheets and room were immaculate.
No frayed carpet.
Door locks worked.
Housekeeping team was friendly and helpful. In fact all the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs
There was free covered parking.
The adjacent restaurants and coffee house, etc, were extra convenient ( and there was breakfast and coffee at the hotel)
- All for roughly the same rental rate as the other place, that is supposed to be "upscale".
And- it was clean (Did I already say that?) and welcoming and quiet and well maintained.
Isn't it surprising that those things seem like extras at a hotel???
I had a busy few days- and I appreciate and say , " THANK YOU " to the staff for the pride they take in making hotel guests feel comfortable enough to rest in a clean, comfortable environment.
Kudos!

My family of 5 have stayed at this Hyatt location around 7-8 times now. The biggest issue we've had is that we were missing blankets for the pullout sofa bed just once - not a big deal. Other than that, this hotel has been incredibly consistent, convenient, easy and above all, the customer service and staff have been 5 star in my mind. On a recent visit, we left our kindle reader in the room. They were able to locate, kept it locked in a safe for us and then promptly shipped it back to us at no charge to us. Not to mention you've got restaurants, bars, coffee and shopping within 50 yards of the front door.
Food and drinks: Bar Louie, Cheesecake and other options within a 7 min walk.

I've stayed in several Hyatt Places and most have been great. This one had two large points against it:
1) The bar/restaurant is essentially closed. Both nights I stayed, the very kind front desk clerk was staffing the bar as well, but was only able to provide beer and wine as she had to handle check-ins, guest requests, etc. Apparently the hotel does not have a bartender or cook, so they're unable to provide the standard "Placery" menu.
2) The gym is very small and basic, especially for a property that's been built recently. It was frequently crowded.
On the other hand, the staff were very friendly and helpful and my room was clean.

The rooms should be up graded for the location but the price of $100 match the quality. Watch them with the amount that they hold every time I go here it’s a different amount that they hold for incidentals

Everything was good until the housekeeper grab all my belongings before my checkout day. And they cannot open the lost&found room at night. Fortunately I didnt leave money or ID.

This hotel was extraordinary: Clean, comfortable, extremely kind staff, and shopping and restaurants are just a few steps away. Parking is free in the parking garage for hotel guests on floors 3&4. We even told the business we are working with that THIS is the hotel they should recommend to others who come here. Many thanks to the staff at this wonderful Hyatt Place Cleveland/Lyndhurst/Legacy Village. From the Sunday afternoon check-in woman (I am so sorry I cannot remember your name right now) to Miguel who, while working night shift, made certain coffee was ready early, since we left everyday around 5am. They went above and beyond for us during what was our first of MANY stays. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Highly recommend.
Nearby activities: The Legacy shopping center is a beautiful outdoor shopping complex with lots of wonderful shops. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. There is also a grocery store next to the hotel, should you need supplies.
Safety: Well lit.
Walkability: There is a beautiful shopping area just steps away. No really, maybe 25 steps and you're there.
Food and drinks: Lots of restaurants in the open shopping area. Everything we had was delicious.

This place is literally so nice and clean. It smells absolutely amazing in here not just in the lobby but in every hall way. The staff are super helpful and very polite. The rooms are nice and spacious and clean. The breakfast is delicious and a good variety of selections. The lobby has a big big area to relax or to hangout with nice lighting and background music. The fitness area and pool are also very clean areas and nice to utilize.
