Too lazy to update their hours clearly pinching pennies short staffing and closing an hour early every day as notable by the hand written numbers taped over the original hours sign lol. Just another store that cant make a little less profit to pay employees full time and stay open . YOU SUCK

I love the pet smart in Macedonia Ohio! My groomer is Devonn. He does an amazing job every time I bring her in to be groomed. My dog and I love him. I will always bring her to pet smart because they are very good with our pets but Devonn is very special. I’m a happy puppy mom. Thank you Devonn for being my special groomer! You are the best!

I took my dog in to the grooming department and there was dog hair from several different dogs at every station. No was cleaning up or sanitizing after each dog. I ask the groomer why was it so dirty. He states they will clean up before a new dog is put there, but while he's talking another groomer comes out and just sits a wet dog on top of the dog hair that is already there and starts drying the dog. I tell him this unsanitary and you don't know diseases or fleas these other dogs may have. He had no comment so I cancelled my appointment and reported to the manager. I do not recommend wish I took a picture

I took my dog here for a bath and brush. I came back and he had gotten a sanitary groom where the hair around his butt was cut. Not only did I not want his hair cut, they did a chop job and it looked terrible. Further, I noticed later when I went to pet my dog that he would cower like he was scared. I never hit my dog so this was concerning. Upon further inspection, he had 3 spots on his abdomen that were completely scraped raw, meaning no hair and the first layer of skin was gone. Note that he did not have mats when I brought him in for the bath. From this I believe he was mistreated by the individual that groomed him and I’m beyond upset. For someone’s dog to be fearful of a human hand and have open wounds? How could you.
I would not recommend this grooming location. Although this likely was due to the groomer, this means other employees may have witnessed this abuse and stood by without intervening.

Grooming is $80+ was still pulling tuffs of hair out, they said come back and when I came back the workers were so disrespectful, defensive rude and all because they did a bad job and I had to drive all the way back to the store twice in two days

Grooming Center Review: Not a fan and will never return. A little over a month ago, we got a new puppy. He's just over four months old, so he had not yet ever been groomed because he needed his rabies shot, which happens at 16 weeks. Once we got his shots/vaccines all squared away, we scheduled him to be groomed at Macedonia Pet Smart. We chose this location for two reasons: 1. most of the reviews were really good and 2. they assured us they could get him in ahead of the holidays. We booked him for a full grooming (bath, cut, teeth, etc.). Issues started the moment we arrived onsite. First, they told us they don't actually do full grooming on puppies for their first time. No one mentioned that before when we spoke to them or called to tell us this ahead of time. They waited until we got there, which felt like a shady money grab. When I asked why they let us book it this way, they had no explanation other than it shouldn't have happened and they'd see what they could do. Had we known that part upfront, we would have gone elsewhere so we could get him fully groomed. The poor puppy could barely see from all the hair growing over his eyes. However, with this now days before Christmas, everyone was booked until after the new year. He really needed to be groomed, so we were stuck. Fine. We said we'd take what we could get at that point. An hour after dropping him off, they called to say he was too skittish and nippy to be groomed and there was nothing they could do with him that day. "Maybe you can come back another day when we're not so busy and have more experienced groomers here," they said. Now, I am certain our puppy was skittish and a bit nippy (not overly aggressive because he just isn't that way) with this being his first time, but I am also certain that they have encountered this with many a puppy their first time out. Right? What a complete waste of time - not only were they not honest and upfront about the service when we first booked but clearly, they were not equipped or experienced enough to do the job. We would have gone with another groomer if they had shared this from jump. As a result, we had to wait two more weeks to get our puppy groomed. Oddly enough, when we went to another groomer and asked if they could handle a new puppy who might be skittish or nippy this first time a round, they said, "Of course, we can. He's a puppy and it's his first time. That's not a problem for us. We expect that and get that with new puppies all the time." And, true to their word, no problem. They confirmed that he was indeed that way at first, but they were patient and gentle, gave him treats, let him get to know them, and voila! He looked great and was in a great mood when we picked him up. They earned a new client and were given a great review. Meanwhile, Pet Smart will never see us again and this is their review. Complete incompetence.
