I ordered twice this year from Bluestone and have been very pleased with the quality of perennials I received. They are small when they rise, but have a great root ball and that enables the plants to quickly root and thrive.

Incredibly good quality. I own a micro farm and ordered a lot of bulbs and flowering shrubs from Bluestone this summer, but had them held until late September for shipping. I bought full price and have not bought end of season sale items - I’m wary of those from any nursery! Plants arrived well packaged and healthy. So far all 15+ plants are thriving in central texas heat! I’ve spoken to customer service twice via email and both times they were great. I will definitely purchase again, especially shrubs and hydrangeas, which bluestone has a good variety. They only have a small wholesale department and I haven’t worked with them yet, but their CS department was helpful in answering my questions regarding wholesale. I will be a repeat customer!

Just received 2 pre plan flower gardens. They were absolutely perfect size and so very healthy. The packaging for shipment was very very good, even as the man that delivered it could not read The side of the box clearly saying live plants and this side up only. He threw the box on my steps and on its side. I was so nervous to open the box, thinking the plants would be damaged or not in containers they cane in. Due to the wonderful packaging and care taken at Bluestone they were as happy as when they left the company. I would absolutely purchase plants form them agin!!!

Ordered a gift certificate for a neighbor for his birthday the beginning of September. After it didn’t arrive for 2 weeks I emailed asking where it might be. They said wait until the 29th then email them if it doesn’t show up. They don’t provide tracking. It of course never showed up. The said they refunded my money but I still don’t have it back a month after ordering it. Do not shop here.
My neighbor lives on a fixed income. He orders from Bluestone although everything b he gets dies, he still wastes his money here. Don’t do it. They don’t care. Do not buy from them.
You’ve been warned

Was excited to see the assortment available of perennials so I bought a large quantity/$$$$.
Was surprised as to the sizes of the plants, only one was in poor shape though when delivered. The others were healthy but very very fragile which resulted in breakage of several while planting.
I was anxious to complete my garden in the spring so hesitantly I ordered 4 more plants/Double play Candy Corn.
Now months later: all but a few have taken, not overly impressive with flower production/growth rate of some but for the most part I feel the plants will survive for next season.
The ones I am VERY disappointed in, especially for the cost was Mr and Mrs Poppins Winterberry and the Candy Corn.
The Poppins are so fragile, the stems thinner than a straw, which caused one to break. They are growing extremely slow.
The Candy Corn were so tiny, the stems are like floss and are unable to hold the few leaves they up. They just lay on the ground. They are neither growing or dying at this point. But I don’t think they will make it to next year at the rate they are going.
All in all, the biodegradable pots are a great way to transplant them. But for the cost of the plants and how fragile they are, I would rather buy locally for bigger plants, less cost, and a one year guarantee on the plants.
The plants that did do well, bee balm ,and humming bird mint they are beautiful. The red hot poker barely produced a flower.
I wish the company much success!

My plants arrived healthy and stayed healthy after I planted them. Love the plantable pots - helps ease transition. Will definitely buy from here again.

I ordered 4 Echinacea Cheyenne Spirit and they were supposed to be multicolor but were all a terrible boring yellow. Waste of money and time.
Additionally, I was sent a different plant than I ordered. I was not informed that I was being sent different plant. They just simply replaced the plant that I wanted was something else. ?
Not the best experience.

I recently ordered several plants from Bluestone Perennials. They arrived well packaged and healthy. I had to wait to plant them due to illness, but I put them in "dappled shade" and watered them as suggested. They're now in the ground and doing quite well except for one, which was my fault.
They're very responsive. This will be my first choice for online plants in the future.

This was my first online order for plants with this company. I was excited to receive the order. Firstly I was shocked to see the size of the plants. They are not any bigger than the size your hand. Secondly, as the previous customer mentioned, the plants arrived in a box damaged, the plants inside were dried, broken and wilted and some of them were covered with mud. Per the instructions in the box, I got the plants out and watered the plants to revive them. With the pictures in this review, I wrote to the customer care. The response I received was to clip the plant ends and plant them so they come up the next year (see the email response in the pictures attached to this review). I would like to emphasize on the sizes of these plants, similar to the previous review, these plants are extremely small for the price charged and shipping on top of the cost of these plants. They do not provide free shipping above a certain order. I went to the local nursery today to to look for the same plants. The same plants I received from bluestone perennials were in 3 gallon pots and were sold for a much better price then bluestone perennials, the same plants I ordered on the bluestone perennial
I have requested for a refund with the damaged and having arrived in a bad condition. Hoping to get a positive customer support. Will come back to complete my review with the support I get from the customer support once I hear back from the customer support team.

Last fall after learning about this company we ordered a deluxe shade garden. The box was nicely packed. And with great excitement we planted the 30 odd plants received.
Since then to our chagrin very few have done well. Last time I counted perhaps 10 of the 30 odd plants have survived. And they look quite pathetic. See attached photos.
In the spirit of truth in advertising Bluestone Perennials should unambiguously state the time it takes for a newly planted garden to grow to resemble the breathtaking photos on their website or marketing material.
I think it is a great concept but disappointing if one is seeking to witness a lovely garden over a reasonable period of time.
Following up : In response to your feedback below I have emailed you with details on 6/13. The order number which also was conveyed in my email is 3088243. I haven’t heard back from the owner or customer service. I recognize that as a small business owner you are busy. Looking forward to hearing from you in the foreseeable future
Regards

I was hesitant to give a new nursery a try but was pleasantly surprised with how well the packaging was organized and protected the contents. I've ordered twice for our Bible Camp. I wouldn't recommend the Butterfly Kisses coneflowers as I've only reaped one bloom from 2 plants in 2 years. One Denim & Lace sage and a Red Hot Poker didn't make it the 1st year, but everything else has been babied and has done extremely well.

This was my first time ordering plants online and I was pleasantly surprised how carefully the plants were shipped! So far the 3 plants I purchased are doing great. I also love the Bluestone website, there is so much information about each plant, and I love how you can narrow down your search based on sun requirements, or deer/rabbit resistance, etc. The website alone has been invaluable to me while searching for the perfect plants for my beds. I will be ordering from Bluestone again!

Way too expensive for the size and quality of the plants. I was able to find some things I wasn’t able to source locally, so that was nice - but overall, I’m totally disappointed.

I'm so happy with my purchase from Bluestone Perennials.
My order came fast and the packaging was outstanding as seen in the pictures I provided. All the plants look very healthy and ready to go in my garden.
All I can say is I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I'll definitely order again.
