Seldom is there a cashier ready for check out of customers , just today September 2nd, had to wait at least 5 minutes for check out assistance, finally had to go find someone to check me out. The employees in this store can usually be found outside on the phone a taking a smoke. Very poorly managed store, even have delivery trucks at times in the handicap parking space, when addressed this a an employee, he said so what not his problem. This store used to be well run, always somone behind the counter for fast check out.
Surely, corporate can do something to correct this from happening. People can walk out with stuff without paying. Seen this more than once.

Now I love my hometown but the worker PATTY at dollar general in Manchester needs to be fire hands down!!!!!

I've noticed most of the more recent reviews are bad
I've been there twice in the past two months, both times different employees were rude,
Came off aggressive with bad energy,
I felt tension and heard them gossiping about other people ,
I also was at the check out with two items for almost 4 minutes while 5 workers where seen out of the corner of my eye on different areas and took forever to help me, the only customer in there at the moment,
I love dollar general I've been to tons of them in different towns counties and states and by far this was the worst experience both times,
I pray they find overwhelming joy, and that they way they treat customers isnt based on if they look wealthy and clean cut because I don't dress all up and don't mind looking average, I get discriminated against like I'm homeless or on drugs because I don't take the time to match, or dress nice,
The looks I was given are seared in my mind still,
This was awful.

The girl that’s always working has the worst attitude of anyone I’ve experienced working a customer service/retail job. We grabbed a few things and were polite, said thank you etc. She couldn’t even be bothered to say you’re welcome, or anything the entire time. And she’s rude as hell every time we go in there. Would have a higher rating if they could hire some friendlier people.

Shelfs are bare, works are nonexistent, hard to find what you want with little help around the store, only go here when I am in need of a few things passing threw. Dirty inside and out, seems like it's never cleaned and always cluttered.
