The pool was closed. So we left. No notice was given when we booked. The front desk was rude because we wanted a pool and went to another hotel that had one

The lady at the front named Bonnie she was really really helpful she helped me get to my room and made sure I had everything I needed and she definitely deserves a raise whenever they give them out

The room was just a little dated so I gave 4 stars. It was very clean and the most important part....the beds were VERY comfortable. We both slept very well. The service was outstanding. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The location was perfect for us as a 1/2 way point in our travels. It was right off the interstate and there were plenty of restaurants and gas in that location.
Food and drinks: The breakfast bar was just average but the attendant kept things well stocked.

Our room was filthy. The carpet was definitely not even vacuumed. Crumbs all over the room. Wash cloth and hand towel at the sink were dirty with makeup or similar and hung back up. Beds were saggy. We napped on top as we need a little sleep as we just travelled 18 hours. We then checked out and went to another hotel. Building is obviously aged but the place needs attention.
Rooms: Dirty. Saggy beds.

VERY small two queen bed room. The room is insufficiently lit, making it quite difficult to get ready to go to a family wedding. The small bathroom sink & mirror were part of the room. Only the toilet and shower were behind a closed door. Old paint, dark brown carpet with evidence an animal threw up on and behind the small chair in a corner (an ancient floor lamp illuminates that detail). We've been here last night and stuck here for the next two. Front desk said no "upgrade" was possible. I blew it. This was way to important an event to prepare for in a substandard hotel. My bad on shopping cost because of needing three nights. Never, EVER again will I make a decision on lodging based on "stars" and lower cost. If you want a newer, clean and comfortable place to stay at a decent price.... unfortunately, this is not your place. Photos are deceiving. We'll never stay in a Best Western hotel again.
*** 6/22/24: this hotel came up again in my Google account. Best Western Marketing geniuses described this hotel as having "UNFUSSY ROOMS"!! I would bet they had to think real hard to combine all the negatives into those two words.
Rooms: Upon seeing this room, my husband immediately went to the front desk inquiring about an upgrade or better room, not asking that it be free. No such luck, thus we had a minimal, scarce 3-night stay.
Every time we returned to this room, our key cards didn’t work (?!!??}. The room was dark and small, although beds were comfortable and clean. Getting ready for our son’s wedding was unreal - cramped and inconvenient in this narrow crowded room.
The only place we had to lay outfits out was a small desktop or on beds, with an old light fixtures by each, made worse by crappy wall painting all around, where you could actually see it.
The iron was the least possible quality, we deemed it risky. Walmart saved the day. The only privacy for dressing was a bathroom complete with an ancient shower head over a 1970s-style bath tub with the thinnest fabric shower curtain which did no good, so the floor was wet regardless of the thin bath mat.
A toilet was crammed in beside the shower, and thank God, a door to separate from the entryway for privacy! No hook to hang anything. NO bathroom FAN, making this small enclosure much like a sauna. Outside this “bathroom”, in the entry area was the sink with a small counter; three dim lights over a faraway mirror.
This room had no overhead entryway lighting whatsoever… only a wall light switch that did nothing, making the wee small open closet a clothes cave. Only a small folding suitcase holder to hold anything.
On a positive note, the frig and freezer worked fine and sat in an enclosure beside three small drawers. Adding to the dank experience was the carpet, which was a dark chocolate brown. No telling how filthy it was EXCEPT for the texture on and behind a cornered small arm chair where an animal had vomited. A bit of levity here: Every time anyone sat down on the ancient rolling office chair, it made a LOUD, protracted farting noise. I could go on.
In addition to all of this, it was too late to cancel and too dark to reload and go elsewhere. We were totally embarrassed we’d arranged for wedding guests to stay here. We contacted our friends, even though late at night to portray the conditions, but again, too late to cancel and find a real hotel room nearby. One couple had called ahead to find the hotel couldn't find their reservation, which was full on bullshit, causing the elderly couple angst no end. It was found upon their arrival.
Photos in your app and website must have been wide-angled and Photoshopped well. I learned a hard lesson about cutting corners because of quantity. Don’t. We travel a lot and have never found a disappointment like this, here or abroad. Our perception of the whole BW chain too
