We stayed in The Ward room. TV did not work. They tried to fix it once, but did not. Called again and they said someone would be there, but never showed up. Room was hot and could not get AC to work. So, opened a window.Walkability: Close distance to People's Bank Theater, where we watched Styx.

Very comfortable, quiet room - nicely updated. Check-in is at the Galley Restaurant next door. Once we made it clear that our reservation was for a room not a table, all went smoothly. Lunch at the Galley was excellent by the way.

Rooms were clean and beautiful. Housekeeping staff is impressive and thorough. Worth the steep steps up to the third floor, for sure.

Great old, but restored hotel. Large spacious rooms and nice modern bathroom. Well stocked common area. Check in is in the restaurant below (The Galley), but it was very easy to do. Also the food there was great. If we’re in the area again, we’ll stay here.

Stayed in the Riley room for late September Sunday and Monday nights. Very large and interesting 5-sided brick-walled king room with 12 foot ceilings and windows on 3 walls. Convenient breakfast area. I think we were the only guests in the hotel during our stay and it was very quiet. I'm not sure what it would be like when there is a concert next door and more people around.

Nicely renovated old building. Modern conveniences, but decorated in a retro style. It was pretty hands-off: room key was in a lockbox and there was no check-in or check-out process. Keep in mind that rooms are located on the 3rd floor and stairs are the only option. Inside the room (we stayed in the Riley Suite) there is some noise from the road below, but it's quiet at night. Breakfast is very limited: help yourself to instant oatmeal, cereal or Poptarts. Great location. Walk to shops, restaurants and Marietta College.

Nice location centrally located to museums and river cruises and college. and the food at street level restaurant is quite good and service all around, food and hotel, pleasant. Apparently, however, the owner is a different story. He had a dinner get together with his three "friends" in the upstairs hotel room guest area until about 9 to 9:30 pm. The boys got louder as the evening wore on and were finally asked to leave, as some people may want to play Scrabble in the common guest area paid for and not be bothered by a noisy party of "friends". As well, the lower patio below the windows played loud rock music throughout the night until about 8 am next day, when someone finally decided to turn off the sound system. Good staff, nice rooms, but really poor and pompous management. Oh, and we did not see the ghost.

We stayed 2 nights in the Williams room. It was neat and clean, the bathroom spotless. (I was a bit hesitant given the locations early history) We checked in on a Sunday following the specific instructions without any problems. Beware there are 2 sets of stairs about 20 steps each divided by a landing. So If you have a problem with stairs this might not be the place for you. We only had a couple of drinks in the bar, the serving staff were very friendly. Apparently a very popular place! We were not disappointed with anything at all!

Super cool boutique hotel that has history mixed with modern updates! We stayed in the Ward room for a quick overnight stop but would love to come back and explore more and visit some local spots. Nice friendly town and lovely hotel. Clean room, nicely decorated and furnished. It also had a nice common area with a stocked coffee/snack bar! Highy recorecommended!

Really like that they kept the historic look and feel of the place. Modern amenities are incorporated well. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

My company has a dinner at The Galley. I think the same place.I had steak, if you can call a 2oz portion steak. They had the option between chicken & steak but 3x more chicken then steak.I'm sure my company paid premium prices for these meals for them to skimp out.Even tho the portions are smaller then a silver dollar the food quality was amazing. If they would have served a 6oz portion I would rate it 10 stars out of 5. However with the very small amount of food which was not enough to go around I only give this place a 3 star & I think that is generous.

Picked the Hackett as a fun option while in town visiting family and I’m so glad I stayed here. Yes there are stairs, the building was built in the 1800’s. Once upstairs you enter into a really comfy common space where you can get coffee, water, etc. I was in the largest room and it was amazing! I highly recommend it if you do a romantic get-away. The curtains close and black out light from the street at night. The bathroom was super cool with the stunning antique vanity and modern shower. Bed was super comfy and the room is really quiet overnight. I will definitely stay again when I’m back in Marietta.

I’ve stayed here every time I visited my son at Marietta College and I love it. It’s so charming and always clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food at The Galley restaurant there is great! Comfy beds and it is so reasonably priced!
