Just bought a new '23 Maverick. I ordered 13 months ago, but was warned it would be a long wait. Being in such high demand, many Dealers were making a killing on markups, and unwanted add ons. But was shocked to see my total price only had a reasonable document/title fee, and Ohio sales tax. And no badgering by the finance guy to buy an extended warranty. My thanks to Mathews Ford, and Kelsi Fissel, for making this the easiest, stress free vehicle purchase ever!!

I'm very shocked and disappointed in the experience I have had with this place and it includes over at the budget auto center also. I was originally told by Juan I was ungrateful for having to settle with a car instead of an suv that I originally put 2 grand down on, then I was lied to by the salesman at the main dealership. I went to trade in my elantra for an suv and was told there was no negative equity and now when I went to trade in the small suv for a bigger one, I was told my payment would double due to more negative equity. I get it that salesmen puff things up, but to lie to a customer, that's unacceptable. But nothing I can do about it but learn my lesson and not go back to this place. Thank you everyone at mathews ford for showing me your true colors. I will keep this place in mind when I do want a new vehicle, and that day will come. Oh, and I'll be sure to tell all of my friends and family too.

I had the most awful experience with their collision department. The Lady could not do math from the collision department. They double charged me for my insurance deductible. I had to go back for a refund. and to top it all off she thought she was right.Had to get her Manager involved.I will never go back to Mathew Ford The inside of my truck was a total mess. they didn't even clean it in inside after they had dust debris all over it and sandpaper it would not recommend them. they even put a dent in my door and would not fix it.

Clean, friendly, professional. Walked in to get keys and programming. Was helped immediately. Took about an hour. Price was what you would expect.

Kelsi Made the buying process enjoyable. She was very attentive to my needs. Did everything she said she would do and no surprises. Very knowledgeable upfront and honest. She explained all of my options and let me make my own decisions with no pressure. Kept me updated throughout the process. Even after I left with my new truck she still answered the phone and responded to messages immediately.

This dealership does NOT do full inspections on the used cars they sell. I've had to return to the service department several times since purchasing a used car with a warranty in November of 2022 for an issue with bolts and screws missing from the exhaust causing fumes to enter the cab. They charged almost $50 to replace it. Fumes continued to enter the cab and the car totally broke down. I had the car towed from Columbus back to the dealership's service department; they fixed it at no charge. Several weeks later, the car was acting strange, so I returned to the service department and found out coolant was leaking into the engine, which now needed to be rebuilt/replaced. I was sent home with the car because they needed to contact the company handling the warranty first and stated they would contact me to schedule the service. The car broke down again before they got back to me, and I had to have it towed again; my car was there for over 3 weeks. The service department finally finished the engine then advised me that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced and is NOT covered by the warranty. I declined the repair and picked up my car. I made it about a mile down the road when I heard a loud noise and something began dragging on the ground...I IMMEDIATELY turned around and went back to the service department. The problem was fixed and I returned home. A few days ago, the car gave a notice to have the oil changed which is strange, given that the engine was JUST replaced. I took the car to my own mechanic and was advised I had an oil leak and that bolts were missing from the engine. I called the service department and was told to bring the car back...now they state a missing gasket caused the leak on my NEWLY REBUILT ENGINE!? I've had this car less than 9 months...I am beyond livid with this dealership!

Just a little background first. I have purchased 7 yes seven brand new vehicles from the Mathews automotive groups in the last 10 years. Now the value is somewhere around a quarter million dollars that I have spent with them in that 10 years. Now onto the bigger issue the current truck I own however did not get purchased from them. And it is a Ford and has 18,xxx miles on it and it broke down as most of the newer vehicles do in todays market. So we all know that the mileage is still under Fords factory bumper to bumper warranty and I had it towed into Mathews Ford Marion well i called the day after it was towed in and the service writer Kyle Hanley took the info from me on what had happened and proceeded to tell me that they should be able to get it in that day but if not they would definitely have it in the next business day. So I asked about a loaner and he said they couldn’t give a loaner out until they diagnosed the issue. Well remember the mileage is still 18,xxx so covered under warranty. But had to make sure it was a warranty issue. Anyhow now it’s 6 days after it was delivered still nothing. Hasn’t even left the spot that the tow truck dropped it off at. Just got the runaround the entire time from the service writer. So apparently if you don’t buy a current car from them they just snub a nose up at you. So I called another dealer in Willard Ohio and they brought me a loaner car and delivered it to my house and picked the truck up within 3 hours of the phone call. Sharpnack Ford is fully customer oriented and blows Mathews auto group’s customer service away. You would think a customer that’s spends the kind of money I have spent with them they would have treated their customer with a lot more respect and work for the customer. So Mathews Auto Group has lost my business forever I will never give them another chance at my business again. Even know they are only 14 miles and own 4 dealerships in my area I will drive 100 miles to do business with a customer oriented company. And Mathews is definitely not customer oriented.

I came to Mathews Ford to get a Nissan Ultima but it had sold just an hour before! They suggested a Ford Fusion which to be honest I'd never heard of. But I took it for a test drive and fell in love with it. Very responsive sharp comfortable car. Kelsi was easy to work with and very professional. I would highly recommend Mathews Ford and do plan on coming back for my next car purchase. My only complaint is the I only got $300 out of my trade in which is not far off, but could and should have been at least $500.

My Ford Edge started having battery troubles this past weekend. I drove to Mathews Ford on Monday without an appointment and spoke to Service Advisor Jarrod Whitaker. Jarrod went and spoke to one of the mechanics and was able to get my Edge in right away for a much needed battery replacement. I always get great service from the Mathews Ford Service Department. I take all my Ford vehicles there for repairs/service. Thank you Jarrod and service department staff for providing me excellent customer service once again.

Made an appointment for 1230 for my wife’s car to be serviced. Dropped it off and was told it would be about an hour. Was having issue with Bluetooth not working. Was quoted at $150 to fix. At 330 we had not heard from them so my wife called in. They told us it had a bad module and needed replaced and was going to be over $1000. Told them no thanks and we would be in to pick it up. Upon pick up the car had not been put back together. The usb port in the center console was hanging out. She paid for the bill and we left. She then discovered the buttons on the radio were messed up. Went back and notified the service department. They pulled it in and and said that they had done a master reset and it needed to be recalibrated. (Which by the way, master reset can be done in the car). Outrageous price for a diagnosis combined with poor service and communication and then the car can’t even be put back together correctly is the reason for this 1 star review.

I bring my vehicles in for convenience. I don’t want to wast my time on an oil change. But honestly at this point it’s probably better to do them myself. It’s definitely cheaper. Probably save time too. Because to have the oil changed on two vehicles, it literally took over five hours. Appointment scheduled for 11 AM. Car gets done 1:45. I don’t have transportation to just have somebody else come get me and leave. I have to wait for the full time. So losing five hours every time I need to get our vehicles oil changed is unacceptable.

I highly recommend Mathews Ford's service department. They were awesome and fixed my issue by replacing my short block without trying to push the problem to someone else. Everyone in their service department was very patient with my questions and were obviously very skilled and knowledgeable! I would not hesitate to recommend them when you need quality service!

At 5:15 pm last friday night, I showed up late to pickup my truck. Service was locked up tight but I found a guy named Chris, who was still there, and he dropped everything and helped me pick up the vehicle, which we were using over the weekend for a trip. It was completely my fault, but he saved the day.Moral: This is why we buy local, and when Spence Mathews says "we deliver" on his TV ad, you can take it to the bank. His company is the best. His people are the best. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else for my vehicles or for their service.John OsterMarion

I brought my vehicle in for a recall. I asked for the code for my vehicle’s door. They charged me for the code but never delivered it. They crashed the module. They want to charge an additional $900 to buy a new module. Everything was working fine until they got it. Now I don’t have backup camera, navigation, entertainment, heat air conditioning, phone connection or phone charger!!!!

Absolute despicable representation of customer service values and ultimately an affiliate of the Ford Motor Company brand. We as representatives of companies are supposed to have a certain ethical/moral code to uphold to our customers and employer who put faith in us, as well as the products we represent day in and day out. Having said that, this will most likely be one franchise that will wipe their greedy hands of you once the transaction is complete with no support if anything goes awry with a brand new "R" product. Purchaser beware!
