“I bought a 2015 Red Ford Escape from Streetwise, I had an issue where I totaled my last vehicle due to hitting a debris in a roadway; and learned some hard insurance lessons, as I had not had Comprehensive coverage, was a very serious learning experience for me. I needed to get a vehicle, and I spoke with Aaron at Streetwise. I originally looked at Chevy Malibu, but did not care for it, they had just rolled this 2015 Ford Escape on the lot and I loved the red color, and the fact it was an SUV and I have two dogs I take to a lot of places, and enjoy hiking with them.
Little did I know, I was going to need this SUV for moving as my wife had left me, and I like to think God had placed that vehicle there for me, if not, my move would have been so much more expensive. The vehicle has been very reliable for me, until recently, I have been driving it since near the end of Feb 2025, no issues, until December 4th, my transmission went out, Aaron the salesman had texted me every month checking on me and my vehicle, so I reached out to him and let him know the transmission went out. I was instructed to bring it in to Steve in their service department.
I waited about a month, due to long shipping, the holidays, I wanted to pull my hair out, I was very blessed my best friend works at the same place and shift as me, though I did have to make a couple financial decisions to rent a car due to having no vehicle. I had spoken with George about deferring a payment, as I have had always paid on time, and was making payments for almost a month while waiting for my vehicle, and it was starting to hurt me while also exploring other means of transportation. George was helpful on the telephone and they pushed back my payment, especially with the holidays being just finished up, it was a blessing.
During the whole course of dealing with my vehicle getting fixed, I want to point out their mechanic Steve, Steve was very helpful, understanding, polite, and patient as I had checked in with him sometimes on the status of my vehicle, or Steve was very cool about reaching out to me to give me updates. It sucks this happened around the holidays, but I am in my car again, I picked it up today (01/05/2025), and I am extremely grateful for all of the Streetwise staff for getting me in a car I love, and fixing my transmission. I would recommend Streetwise for anyone looking for a vehicle when you need to get a new car last minute.”
