Very disappointed in their customer service department. I throw them in the old bait and switch category. You hear credit union and you think family oriented, polite and professional staff. Well that's what we receive at our other 2 credit unions anyway. In late August our vehicle was totaled out which the other parties insurance accepted fault and requested payoff. GE requested extra documents to be completed by the insurance company which makes no sense, as long as you get your money why care how you get it. GE calls me today and says insurance check was received but short. The GE rep first treats me like a dead beat that doesn't pay his loan. And she states, your payment is due and we need to take care of this or we're going to put it on your credit. She proceeded to tell me "my insurance" hung up on her even though I've corrected her several times that it's not my insurance policy. You know what, if she had the same attitude with them as she did with me I'd hang up too. We made the monthly payment today on a totaled out car that GE received payment for and she stated, it'll be several weeks before you're reimbursed. Never again, never again will I use GE Credit Union.

These people are nothing but scam artists. We have talked to these people face to face about a late fee and they still keep adding them up. I am going to complain to the better business bureau and anyone else I can about them. Avoid this organization at all costs.

Me and wife came in to discuss a auto loan with Julie Brandau from the Mason location she has the best attitude and passion for her job and was so polite she made this process amazing and smooth she is very good at what she does… thanks Julie you rock ??

Highly recommend GE credit union. Of all the banks and credit unions, they have the best interest rates. Staff very knowledgeable about their products and very customer friendly. My branch still has face to face services, not virtual. My ONLY complaint is they have no drive through but that's ok. Their customer service makes up for it.

I had a terrible experience with a "relationship" representative, Justine, on Monday at the Tylersville location. I spoke to Erik in Investment Services first to make sure I was working with the right person. Then I made an appointment after calling ahead and explaining everything I needed to take care of. From the moment I met this representative she acted like I smelled bad and she was just tolerating me. No smile. No hello. As I went through what I needed she must have said "we may need to make another appointment to handle that" 7-10 times, starting at less than a half hour into the appointment. I kept thinking, "I called ahead and explained what I needed. Why didn't the person setting the appointment set the correct amount of time needed?" I have used GECU in the past for the exact same services and was not given this much of a hard time. Every question I asked was met with her responding that she was not authorized to answer that or that I would need to see someone else. Honestly I think something was going on in that office and she was taking it out on me. I even tried to joke with her twice. Nothing. Just stoned face. In the end, as I was trying to move my money from a money market account into a CD, I couldn't just sit there anymore. I stopped Justine at the end because I felt like I was being abused and I told her this was the most negative experience I ever had with GECU or any bank. I was so upset my hands were shaking. I stopped at the desk and asked if I could speak to a branch manager about what happened, but was told that didn't have one. The person at the desk did try to smooth things over. Sierra even smiled and was pleasant to me as she got me a check for the balance in my MM account. I have an appointment in the morning to open a CD into a different bank and at a higher rate. What is going on GECU??

Bank here at your own risk. You won't have to pay some of the annoying fees other banks charge BUT the trade-off is painfully inadequate fraud prevention and detection + customer support. Good luck getting help if you see fraudulent activity outside normal weekday business hours. After making an appointment the next business day, fraud team (which is a single person) informed us that $1,300 in clearly fraudulent charges (25 different purchases from single vendor all within minutes) is our problem. Refused to reimburse. Branch manager was unhelpful and was condescending to my wife. Withdrew all of our funds on the spot and moved all accounts to a different bank with legitimate fraud prevention/detection and who doesn't employ a-holes for managers.

No stars was not an option. If you have accounts at this credit union, your money is not protected and the bank is not willing to help customers recoup the funds stolen from your account. Despite laws protecting customers from fraudulent charges, this bank is choosing not to reimburse customers. They require you to contact the merchants to ask for your money back. DO NOT trust your money in this bank.

The company decided to add $6000 to my loan without notifying me because they were under the impression that my car insurance lapsed. They claim they sent letters that I never received, but why wouldn't they call for such a serious matter. I have never experienced this and can't wait to be done with this loan.

Jim got us in 10 minutes ahead of appointment. Electronic signatures. Very knowledgeable regarding our requests. Office climate controlled, very comfortable. Out the door in 70 minutes. Product purchase came through on-line as promised.
