First time at King’s Island! There was always an allure to the park when I would drive past it on 71. I got to go during the Christmas Lights, so a couple rides were open but most of the big ones were shut down. Still a great time! Did bumper cars, ate some carnival food, rode the alien ride, got some great photos. A great day full of great memories. My heart will always be with Cedar Point (my first love) but I’m excited to come back to King’s Island in the summer.

Everything is great and LaRosas is the best here! Winterfest and the Halloween nights are worth it!

I grew up going here in the 90's and early 2000's and one by one they took out more and more coasters, now they only have a few "ok" coasters left its not worth the drive anymore, we go to Cedar Point because they actually have thrilling rides... such a shame this place used to be awesome....

Kings island has something for everyone. The vast selection of roller coasters is incredible and they do a great job at keeping up with the maintenance of them. There is very little down time on their coasters and they stay open up to New Year’s Eve. Other Ohio parks should do the same (cough Cedar Point cough). The Winterfest event is something everyone can enjoy. It does get cold so bundle up.

My fiancée and her mother recently purchased tickets and food passes to spend the entire day at the park for the Halloween themed event. Driving all the way from Indianapolis they arrived to find out that the entire park had been rented out by Toyota and that most of the park was inaccessible due to the reservation. They were forced to return home after only staying for 2 hours without any sort of inconvenience compensation. I think it’s mighty ridiculous for the park to charge full price for meal passes and special event tickets without letting any of their customers know that a rental/prior reservation was taking place prohibiting any other unaffiliated customers from enjoying their experience.

If you are a fan of wooden rollercoasters, and amusement parks that feel just right in size, this is the park for you! Kings Island is one of the other top-tier Cedar Fair parks right after Cedar Point. Coming from Valleyfair up in Minnesota, which is my hometown Cedar Fair Park, I knew Kings Island would have a huge variety of rides to offer! The park was well-maintained, and the atmosphere felt positive. I can definitely tell that Kings Island has good management since they keep their park in great condition. Park was very clean, and the atmosphere felt positive. Not only that, this park is just right for size, nothing too crazy like Cedar Point or Worlds of Fun as those parks are a little bigger which uses more walking. Because this is a popular park, if you want to make more out of your visit, make sure to get fast lane as lines do get long. Also, fast lane lines can get backed up too, but you wait less than the regular queue; especially on weekends. The price may be steep, but it'll be worth it.I went in October, so they had halloween haunt. This is probably the best haunt i've been to. The haunted houses were well themed, and the monsters did a great job scaring guests! Make sure to get fright lane, so you won't have to wait long for the haunted houses. With Fright Lane, even though you get to do each maze once, they give you a bonus maze of your choice as a gift for purchasing it, so that was a very nice touch! As for the rides, my top 5 are Mystic Timbers, The Beast, Orion, Diamondback, and Banshee. My runner up is Drop Tower as the drop is much better and forceful than the Power Tower's at both Valleyfair and Cedar Point. That gravitational force was strong! Racer is a good one too; one of the few racing coasters out there. The highlights rides were The Beast and Mystic Timbers. Both of them are very good wooden rollercoasters. The Beast is the most popular ride here as it's the longest wooden rollercoaster in the world. It's spectacular for their night rides, and bonus points if you go in the fall since you can see the fall colors in the woods. That ride does live up to its name as to how action packed the ride is. Mystic Timbers is now my favorite GCI coaster. Anywhere you sit on that ride, you experience many turns, and airtime hills. It's just great, and it's something you have to see to believe it. And remember, "Don't go in the shed!"Food here was wonderful. If you're here all day, get the all day dining plan where you can get food every 90 minutes! The food here is the absolute best in the Cedar Fair Parks that i've been to. My favorite places to eat were Tom & Chee, Potato Works, and KIs blue ice cream cone. There's probably more that I missed trying, but I enjoyed the food here regardless. In my opinion, this is one of the best Cedar Fair Parks I've been to. I look forward to the next time I visit Kings Island if i'm ever in the Cincinnati area, or in Ohio! Make the trip out here, it'll be worth it!

*Update* we hit all three parks last summer and I have to say, WOW! What a difference. Cedar Fair Parks have really step up. With new ride and coasters at all three parks, what a summer. All of the water parks have been expanded as well. These are by far the best parks in North America, if not the world. (I have been to a few in Europe) Now with Cedar Fair Parks buying out six flags, it should just get better and better. One last new thing is the food. There seems to be a massive effort to upgrade the food in the parks as well. We noticed that there has been a major upgrade in this area. Although the prices have remained relatively the same. We get the all day food and drink special and have enjoyed it every time, I great value for a family and decent food as well. Canada's wonderland has an amazing array of new coasters and spin rides to many to name, although cedar point tore down mean streak, which I am still mad about, it is still the jewel of the parks. Has the best collection of coasters and is just plain fun all around. Kings Island is great as well. It has the best value of all three, less lines and as good of rides as the other two. Not one will disappoint as they are all great parks, but I can't stress this enough, get the seasons pass and go to all three. It is worth it every year. Hands down the best fun for your dollar. *END OF UPDATE.*We drive down from Ontario in Canada. As we love coasters. Was there last season. Cedar fair parks has done a great job with the park. The upgrades to park and water park are great as well as all the new rides. Gets better every year. Cedat point is still the Gem of cedar fairs, but kings is getting closer every year. Get the seasons pass, it's worth it. We go to Canada's Wonderland, Cedar Point and Kings Island every season at least once... The pass pays for itself.

Kings Islands rides and coasters don't accommodate guests of larger size! They make it very difficult for a person of size to enjoy the rides as well and I'm NOT just talking about weight

So much to do, you can't get everything done in one day. I'd say prob best for ages like 5 and up. Maybe like 42 inches tall and up. Or at least 36. There's a water park too. Mostly coasters now at Kings Island. No cash accepted anymore. Take a change of clothes and swim suit and towel for the water rides. Get the meal deal, every so often thru out the day you get a meal. The unlimited drink pass was a save for us as well. It gets so hot you need to stay hydrated and the food and drinks are not cheap here. Food is on point though, didn't taste anything bad. Lines for ride were long, get a fast pass.

This place is awesome! Kings island is the third best theme park I’ve ever gone to (first is Epcot, and second is magic kingdom). I’m a chicken on coasters, and the beast, mystic timbers, and backlot stunt coaster is the best. As a Cincinnati local, it is always nice to go up to ki for a couple hours to ride the beast and leave. Worth the money every time.
