The store, the owner and workers and the customer service was amazing. I was greeted right away and was shown vacuums that were in line with the specifics I wanted. They also registered the warranty for me, which was nice and carried the vacuum out to my car! That's my 5 stars. My 4 stars is the actual vacuum. I've used it for 2 solid weeks now and already had to change the bag. The owner said I'dhave to change it maybe every 2 - 3 months. I also think it lacks suction big time, and it's annoying it doesn't vacuum up bigger crumbs or debris. It just pushes them around so I'm constantly using the hose. I looked at my receipt to see about maybe returning it, but you only have 14 days it said. So, I guess I'm stuck with it. I wonder if I'm having issues because I bought the floor model. Who knows.

As a former employee who quit, wasnt paid my final paycheck owner is a fast talker who pushes expensive vacuums on people who aren't able to afford them. Would suggest ordering online from Amazon.

I have a Dyson approx 7 years old... barely used. Hardwood floors would use broom and dust pan mostly.. The sweeper did need a deep cleaning because it smelled like dog. The dog passed in 2018. I have not use the sweep since then. I bought an 8x10 area rug since and did not want to use the sweeper on it until it was deep cleaned.I watched some youtube videos on how to take apart cleaner to deep clean. I decided to extensive for me to do so decided to take to The Great Lakes Vacuum.When I brought my sweeper in to the shop I specifically asked about the smell being gone once they cleaned it and I was reassured it would be.I specifically asked the details about the cleaning and asked about the hoses and the gaskets being cleaned.I was reassured that they would be, because the dirt was like caked and I wanted to be sure before using on my new carpet it would not smell.I went to pick it up and the service guy brought out the sweeper and I could still smell the dog odor. The Owner Jay, came out took the canister off and agree the odor was still prominent. He said he would resoak the machine and go from there.I requested some kind of paper work since I just paid the service in full for hime to give me to show that he still had my machine.He basically refused to do that. and then because somewhat angry and made remarks about I can take my smelly machine and go and he would give me a refund.He got rather immature on his part and refunded my money with much commentary to me being difficult and that he owned several stores and he was really off the chain.I don't feel it was unreasonable for me to ask paper work stating that he still had my machine. He said that the slip he gave me that said no charge for him to redo was enough. I told him No where on the slip did it say he still has my machine.Needless to say, I will not recommend his business Under several different names other then Great Lakes, Fix it shop, Maumee Sweeper cleaners and Sweeper World.

Stopped in to have a Dyson repaired but decided it was not worth the cost of repair and bought a new vacuum. Paul and Zach were both very knowledgeable about all of the vacuum brands and what would be best for our purposes. It was a bit like being in an infomercial, lol, but they definitely know their stuff and were able to back it up with first hand use and on site demonstrations. Highly recommended!

Stopped in to have my Dyson repaired. Zack took care of me. Very nice and knowledgeable young man. After determining that the Dyson would cost more then I wanted to spend, Zach showed me a vacuum that will definitely do the job. Glad I stopped in.

I needed a new vacuum as my Dyson had broken down. Thought it might be able to be repaired, but found that parts were not available. Zachary was very knowledgeable and asked questions about what features I was looking for. End result was the purchase of a Riccar R30d upright. It was very easily assembled. The wheels operated so much more smoothly than my previous vacuum, making it a breeze. Sweeping furniture was also easier with the long hose and just moving the switch from tools off to tools on. Could also use the hose to vacuum behind my Whirlpool Tub. This is close to the wall and was, previously, an impossible area to reach. Plus, you can go a long distance without it tipping over. Perfect for using on our wooden stairs going up to the second floor. Highly recommend and wish I would have known about the Riccar sooner. Thank you Zachary for finding us the perfect vacuum.
