It was a blast! Danny and Squirrel had wonderful hospitality and our kids enjoyed the experience as well. We came for a Dall sheep and saw so many other animals too. We totally recommend! We'll be back for sure.

Can't wait to do it again!The owner and staff were awesome! Everything was clean and accommodating.For the price and how hard guides and staff work, you can't beat it.We were looking for a nice quick weekend to go shoot some hogs, and relax.We got everything we wanted out of our experience.Thanks!

I'm now living proof you can start hunting at the young age of 65. ? Double D Ranch is a must hunting spot for anyone to include lots of game options. The entire staff are genuinely there to make your hunt a pleasant experience. Timmy our guide took into consideration my advanced age. He was one patient young man. Hunting caged animals. You guys call yourself “hunters” I don’t think so most pathetic thing and it blows my mind that you have the audacity to call yourselves hunters why don’t you go out and actually hunt in the woods wild animals not caged animals.

Alright here’s my honest opinion because I’m not sure what all I should do as far as a review. I booked my hunt several months in advance, watched multiple videos on YouTube for this ranch and was beyond excited to drive 4 hours one way with several other people to experience a “hunt”. First thing in the morning we were sat down and told to wait our hogs will probably come running through here so my girlfriend and I sat and waited for our first ever hunt together as a couple. Later on we were told to follow the guide because he said he seen some hogs off in the distance so we were excited to go track down a hog and were walked up probably 25 yards to the hog and we’re told okay shoot it. For one we brought long range rifles which was what I use for deer hunting for the last 10 years and I’ve considered myself successful with the rifle but I’m not going to shoot a fish in the barrel so to say. The guide was not happy which was fine because I told him i’m here to hunt I want to take my chances. But long story short he takes us back to our spot and goes to check on my friends and proceeds to bad mouth me to them which was unknown to me until after I tipped him and the gentleman who helped get mine and my girlfriends hogs out very well. In the end of the day im glad I got to do a hog hunt but I definitely feel cheated out of the experience of a “hunt”. Between the small amount of meat I received for two decently large hogs and the fact I was bad mouthed behind my back and it seemed like they had no interest in creating any friendships to make me want to come back, I’m definitely upset with the overall experience. Sure it was cool to do but definitely not any type of hunting. Thank you Danny for having us down, sharing a beer with us and providing the animals but overall I expected something different. Wish I was told the “big hogs” were something special ordered because with the amount of money I spent in gas, food and lodging I would of rather had a different experience.

Recently went hunting at Double D Ranch with a couple of friends of mine. Danny and his son Adam were very accommodating. We all felt like we had an authentic hunting experience. The game were all of significant size or better. And everything we have been told over the phone was very accurate. The terrain was very diverse and did require some hiking, which in my opinion makes for the full experience. And the pricing was very reasonable. Overall great experience, 10-10. If your looking for a hunting preserve in Ohio, definitely check this one out.

Took my son for his first hunt ever here. Everyone was real nice nice. We are going to make it a yearly trip now. And Adam Carte is like a ninja in them woods , thanks for the experience and Adam thanks for saving that rib for my boy.
