I feel its very necessary to make the public aware of this business. I have had to file complaints with BBB and the DMV over the situation and unbelievably it still got worse after that. They had my car after a car crash for over 70 days! Yes 7-0!! Way longer then I should have let it go on for. But unfortunately we bought into the first few lies that were handed to us. But after lies were told to our insurance agent and then to us we all started to compare notes and realize what was going on. We even felt that the major delays were lack of funds to continue the work but on day 71 of them having my car we found out they had been cut a check from Progressive over a month ago for over $4200! So obviously funds weren't the issue. I immediately called my agent and a tow company to pull my car from the shop. I was done with being given the run around. So when i contacted the owner of the shop to say i was pulling my business from him he said i wasn't allowed. I then had the tow truck driver show up to get my car and he was treated poorly and told he couldn't remove my car because it was company policy that they wont release a car once they started on it. The tow company contacted me and said it was illegal for him to hold it hostage and to contact the police to come there and get my vehicle. In the meantime my agent also called him and said it was illegal to hold a customers car. We were told a week ago the only hold up was he was waiting on the paint to come in and it would be finished by the end of this week. Yet when we pulled the car out he hadn't even ordered the back hatch door, a new bumper or even the new exhaust system!! He claimed he had at least ordered the hatch and the agent looked into that and that too was another lie. The owner also told us he removed the damaged hatch to put one on to see if it fit, but the damaged hatch is still connected to my car and not a single finger print or hand mark was on the top of that door and my car was covered in road salt? hmmm? And if he had removed the door why would he take the time to put it back on and also reconnect the top tail light by threading the wires and cords through the door again? But of course those were also covered in dirt and untouched. He also told the tow truck driver it was more then 3/4 of the way done, but now that we've pulled it from him its not even close to half done after 72 days in his possession! I and every person that is around us thinks this is the most shoddy business around. And of course feel it is NOT a place to conduct business with. You WILL be lied to and he WILL waste your time and money, and that's just not what customers deserve. We ignored way too many red flags at first but you all shouldn't have to go through such horrible treatment as well.
