I was humiliated and treated unfairly and racially profiled by Jen(the assistant manager) and another employee. Myself, daughter and her dad were followed around the entire store with no room to even move around due to the lady being so close up on us, she kept asking us questions even acted as if she was putting shoes away while we were trying to look at them. I made a purchase and tried to use my carters credit card in which it declined(me thinking it was because there might not have been enough on the card for full purchase) so I paid part in cash and tried to use the card again but declined. I asked if they could refund the entire purchase give me my cash back and I pay with another form of payment and was told no. Jen and her cashier said that they could not refund my cash and that I had to complete the purchase or they will keep my money and the merchandize. I asked both ladies again to repeat and was told the same thing they do not do refunds and that I would have to complete my purchase. I felt as if I didn't complete the purchase I would not get my money back and they would maybe call the police or something, not to mention there were people in the store looking at me like I'm crazy due to the cashier announcing every time the card declined really loud, Because of this I went ahead and completed it. I called the store to get the lady's name so that I could file a complaint and Jen begin to get irate saying she was one of the ladies that was there that day. She told me that I need to explain myself better next time and continued to be Egregiously dishonest. Making up things that I did not say. Jen is disrespectful and impolite and has no customer service skills. She talked over me as if I was unsophisticated. She proceeds to hang up on me.(keep in mind at this time I did not know that I was speaking with Jen) I called the store back to get her name and she was so rude and hung up on me again. She should not be managing anyone. The fact she says carters does not have a refund policy and they would of had no choice but to keep my cash is out of this world. Due to this interaction with carters I will not be shopping there ever again.

Received an adorable Carter's set for my daughter for Christmas that was too small. Didn't have a receipt, but had tags still on. Went in to see if I could just exchange it. The woman working (manager) said it wasn't one of their outfits. Didn't look it up, just very dismissive. Took us two minutes to verify it was on the Carter's website via the barcode. Called customer service and it took them 20 minutes to argue with the store manager, same person we spoke to, to allow us to exchange it. By that time it wasn't worth the $$. Had already wasted enough time. Woman working was rude, dismissive, not customer oriented, and to be honest a little lazy. Will not be going back. Carter's phone customer service deserves 5 stars though!

Have always had a great experience at the Mentor Carters. The staff is amazing! The store manager and team really go above and beyond!

Great selection of clothing, just a little sparce on 18 mo 2pc jammies for boys. The good news is that if available, they will order it in any size and ship it to your home, free. Staff is helpful amd pleasant.

Love, love Carter's. I buy all my kids' clothing from them. I usually do my shopping online but the last order I made, I had it shipped to the store for pickup. When I got there to get my order, I decided to peruse around the retail store for a bit. I was super impressed by all the different options of clothing they had available - I probably got a little overly excited to stock up on clothes that my kids will grow out of super quick lol. At least most things there are all "on sale" so you don't feel as guilty making your purchases.

I suppose its my fault for bot looking but who opens at 11? I drive 40 minutes away and thought i would stop in to shop for my nieces, nephew and my own baby but the store was closed which throws my schedule off. Will have to resort to online.

I love Carter's! I'm here almost all the time. The employees are very nice :) Shout out to Lily and Anna, you ladies are awesome! They also have great prices and the clothes are high quality! With the pandemic, I usually order online and do curbside pick-up. If ever you go inside the store please remember to check their clearance section at the back end, there are always great deals there. Thank you Carter's, I have been a loyal customer 12 years ago with my now 12yo and again with my 11-month old :)

It's a typical children's clothing store. They have girls clothes on one side and boys on the other, clearance items in the back. Everything is almost always on sale, so no need to buy stuff full price. It's clean and the employees are friendly.

First of all I would like to say that this store is always clean, eye appealing and orderly. Yes, the regular prices are a bit high, but there is always a sale! You can usually find very good sale prices and add that with fun cash and coupons and you can really hit the jackpot! You would actually spend more at Walmart for way lesser quality. That aside, I have to reply to the previous poster. I, in fact, have found every member of this staff almost overly friendly and beyond helpful! I am a bit shocked that you had such an interaction with Irene. I shop here often and Irene is actually one of my favorites. She is always so very helpful and kind hearted. Not just me either, I’ve watched her interact with other customers and they love her, she’s a real gem! Hope your experience is better next time:)

Staff is rude. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Irene twice when I went in there. I will definitely never shop here again and would rather order online. Extremely disappointed seeings how this was my first time shopping in the actual store! Would not recommend.
