Andrew Chinchar welcomed us in with a smile and was a huge help in buying my first ever car. Great guy, would definitely recommend doing business with him. He was very knowledgeable about both vehicles that I test drove and gave us all of the information we needed before making a decision. 10/10.

Came back to see Andrew C. again! The experience beginning to end was low pressure and efficient. Manager Ron was quick to offer clarity to concern and Terrel made the final finance steps quick and painless with having everything ready for signing and no high pressure upsale. This is our 4th Mentor Nissan vehicle and always a great experience.

I’m from a neighboring state and traded my vehicle in and purchased a vehicle from Mentor Nissan. Most of this was done over the phone and with pictures and I’m happy to say the car I purchased was as promised. I enjoyed the experience overall everyone was friendly and helpful. ?

Customer service was good very friendly, that's about where the good ends. Had my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation. I was told be done quick (around 45 minutes to an hour) I had gotten in back over 3.5 hours later. I let them do the free car wash as well. My car had came back looking worse than it went in. It had water spots everywhere and dirt on it as well. The other vehicles in the bay getting service, both new and used, looked much better than the care mine had received with the same wash. After the free inspection, I was give a estimate of over $1400. I had gotten a second opinion from another shop, this service center missed things that needed done and overcharged a huge amount on stuff that did not even need to be done to the vehicle. One of my examples is my tires, after the second option, it was found that I had needed two rear tires because of age and wear in the middle. Nissan claimed that the tread was fine, no further action. They had also claimed that there was damage to a front tire, both me, and my second option shop and looked at the tire, there was no damage. After needing to replace a TPMS sensor for $60 and labor, Nissan wanted over $200. Overall extremely unhappy with this dealers service dept. I would not go to them again.

Bought a vehicle at Mentor Nissan about 6 months ago. 2019 Subaru WRX STI. Vehicle was fairly overpriced online, but it was what I had been looking for, and it had fairly low miles for what it was, so I was interested.
Upon test driving the vehicle I noticed the steering wheel was very very tight, and the power steering pump was whinning. When I popped the hood after the test drive, the PS fluid was very low. I let them know I did not want to purchase a vehicle that had power steering issues. He assured me that they would have it through their service department again to make sure it was not malfunctioning, and as part of the deal replace the malfunctioning parts if necessary.
It was later in the evening so their service department was not open, negotiated that as part of the deal, they would investigate the whine and the PS issue and remedy it. They convinced me to take the vehicle home and had the promise formally written up in the conditional delivery agreement. I felt I could trust the General Sales Manager and Finance Manager's word, as the dealership had good reviews.
Keep in mind, I also bought a powertrain warranty through the dealership for a fairly steep cost (Nearly $4500). I did not mind, my only condition is that they get me to a payment under $450, using a combo of my trade (An Immaculate Honda s2000 with 40k miles, only needing tires) and some money down. They did just that so I signed for everything that night.
I brought the vehicle back up to get the vehicle's power steering issue investigated. They had the car for about 10 minutes then told me there is nothing wrong with it- Shocker. They even had their "Subaru Tech with 12 years experience with STI's" come out to tell me that WRX's have stiff steering. I then let him know this is my 3rd WRX and not to treat me like I have no clue. When a pump is whinning it means the pump is bad, the fluid is low, or the Rack is binded up.
He argued with me and brushed me off, and of course they refused to remedy the issue as promised.
Upon reviewing my paperwork, they conveniently left out a copy of the hand written "We owe" and the printed copy showed "Nothing Promised, Nothing Owed." This made me furious. I asked for a copy and they send me the same blank page. Good thing I took a photo of the original deal.
I took the vehicle in to a trusted local Subaru Dealership for a second opinion and paid the diagnostic fee. What do you know their master tech (Of 25 Years) diagnosed properly. Used a newton meter guage to determine that steering effort was WAY outside of tolerance. He even compared it to another 2019 WRx STI that was in the shop at the time. Way over spec. Upon further investigation determined that the Power Steering Rack was binded up, and the pump was whinning due to it working overtime to push through the resistance. The fix is rack replacement- around $2,200 with parts and labor.
I brought this diagnosis to Nissan in Mentor and of course they gave me the run around. Wanted to get a 3rd opinion with Adventure Subaru (Who is known for their inadequate service department.) and I declined. I pushed for them to approve the repair and was told they by their general service manager that thet would have to elevate things to their General Manager for approval. I waited a week, called back in, still no answer, and he was unavailable to talk. MN
Called in again after another week- GM still hadn't made the decision.
After nearly 2 months since buying the car I showed up in person and was informed the previous Gm had quit, as well as the salesperson who worked the deal with me. Apparently now I am SOL.
I am sharing this experience to inform anyone who works with Mentor Nissan in the future to NOT ACCEPT DELIVERY OF THE CAR without recieving ALL PROMISED GOODS AND SERVICES. They will find a way to snake out and
