Very disappointed in the owner, Kathy. I’ve been a customer/donator to this store for a few years now and there has never been an issue. A month ago I dropped off a bag they wanted to give me $9.00 for. Life got busy with two kids so I didn’t have a chance to pick up the cash. Kathy told me they took my clothes but couldn’t pay me. Did you guys know there is a 48 hour deadline to pick up your money? And that it’s ILLEGAL (the owners words) to pay me after that window? Anyways, I asked her if she would settle for giving me $5.00 instead for the hassle. More about the principle, you know? Unfortunately Kathy is the only owner in the world who thinks the customer is wrong.

Staff friendly. The clothes are in excellent condition and clean. Saved a ton of money shopping for summer clothes for my grandkids. Would recommend.

I've been mostly satisfied with my visits to this store. The money they give for your buy is pretty good, I just don't like that there is no record of what they actually buy. Employees are helpful and courteous for the most part. Selection for boys 5t or xs, especially in shorts/pants is limited, but the store only has what they buy.. same with pajamas. Store is clean and much larger now.

Zero stars to be honest. Customer service was deplorable. I will never patronize this location again and am also questioning the integrity of the company. I called ahead to confirm their hours given the holiday (MLK Day). I was hung up on as soon as I mentioned that I’d like to deliver some gently used items. When I called back, the woman acted as though the disconnect never happened, didn’t even acknowledge it. When I arrived, I was met by a man at the counter. He seemed busy so I attempted to approach a woman further down. He rudely stopped me and proceeded to assist me in a tone so condescending that I had to tell him that this was my first time and that I am unfamiliar with the process. I usually donate to Salvation Army, simple drop off. Anyway, I walk around the store as I wait for him to inspect my items and literally everything in the store is overpriced, faded and in “OK” condition. They gave me $30 (total items worth over $300) and didn’t even accept half of the items I’d brought. Gave me no reason as to why items weren’t accepted. Again, I usually donate so I would not have wasted time bringing items that didn’t look worth reselling. I felt robbed and embarrassed. This was such a bad experience. Do not go to this location. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!

I always have a very positive experience here, with buying and selling. None of the clothes look old or have issues, so I’m able to get my son an entire new wardrobe each time I come. ? The girls here are always nice as well!

The Mentor location is great! They recently moved down a few store fronts to a new, bigger location. This has allowed them to increase their inventory while also keeping it clean and organized. The owners and the employees are all friendly and very helpful with both buying and selling children's items!

When you drop off items for the first time, no one tells you the process. Expect to ask questions(customer service where?). Also it is very possible that items may be stolen because they throw your things back into your bins or on the floor piled up next to other people's things(makes it very easy for things to be lost or mistaken), they do not inform you of what they actually kept. Your once beloved baby items are definitely handle like trash. I recieved $66 back for high-end baby equipment, that I'm certain cost more than $400(the things that i noticed they kept because they dont give an itemized list of said items). one item being a $200 baby monitor that was rarely used. And I'm certain they will resale it for way more than what they gave me for it (if they even actually paid me for it) You drop off your items and most of those items will be sent back home with you. It's a very weird experience.

Wouldn’t recommend at all. Sold a lot of clothes to them that majority wasn’t worn and bottles just to get $20.

We love our local Once Upon A Child for buying and selling items. Friendly and helpful staff, great management, and the deals! They've also been super supportive during our homeschooling journey. They've been so patient with our son and he's learned so much about business and money management working with them to sell his items he's outgrown.

They do not have good choice in outfits. The used clothing they are selling is overpriced. When donating, they choose to keep clothes that people don’t want to buy and then claim they are overstocked and refuse to take clothing that people would be more interested in purchasing including name brand athletic clothing and holiday outfits. Poor customer service.

Rudest people I ever met. My 4 year old hit his head trying to hold door open as 3 employees and owner sat watching and did nothing to help. I don't expect them to move our stuff but they could have at least held door open I recommend goodwill cause at least they are courteous

They are great people but might be pricing themselves out of a niche market. Albeit all prices are rising, they might consider fitting more in the "thrift" market.
