The location has very poor customer service and it’s really bringing down the culture of Mentor. Just use another one. I really wanted to use this location because it’s close to home, but I don’t want to walk in and feel like I’m inconveniencing someone just because they have to do their job. I even tried greeting them cheerful. Still terrible service. The things usps say you can utilize online at this location are not true. If you point out what the site says be prepared for the workers to argue with you. Because apparently the stuff usps post on their site is not true.

This post office is an institution of help. Thanks for being there: rain, sleet, snow. It's not easy to come in and wait, but you all are the best at helping and worth the wait. Thanks for putting up with us customers. You always go the extra step to help us. Thanks so much.

Since we were going on vacation, I filled out a Vacation Hold form and handed it to a postal employee behind the counter, one week prior to our departure. My son got a notice that something was delivered. I asked my neighbor to check, she did and yep mail was delivered. I called the next day and was told they would take care of it. 4 days later, my neighbor let me know it was still being delivered, but she was collecting it and holding for me. If I had been able to give 1/2 a star (and that would still be generous I would have). I spoke with a supervisor today who said she would take care of it. I have no faith in this! This post office sucks!

Absolutely the WORST !! Mail bills never received, or received weeks later? Whatever happened to next day delivery? And has the nerve to raise rates with such shoddy service.

I went into the post office because I was sending a larger package and didn’t have a scale that could weigh over 10 pounds. I wanted to make sure I purchased enough shipping through eBay so I asked if the shipping I paid for was enough. The woman took the package, started taping my label on with scotch tape, gave me a receipt and sent me away. No word that anything was wrong even after weighing the package. Not to mention I was constantly checking tracking to make sure the package didn’t get lost after the botched tape job. I get a notice a week later that I underpaid and was charged back.

Carrier did not attempt delivery, marked multiple packages as unable to be delivered. Redelivery was never attempted and my packages were makes destroyed by the post office.

Big oof. Mail delivery is SO unreliable. You never know when its arriving, you never know which mail carrier you will have. Not to mention, you always end up waiting in line for a long time - as they typically only have one staff member working the check out counter.
Years ago everything was great, these days everything has gone by the wayside.

the shipping and delivering is a joke. they tell you what day it will be there and it's a week and a half late.

Wouldn’t even leave 1 if I didn’t have to. Customer service was less than stellar. Cut me off before I was able to talk which I found incredibly rude. I left because I knew he wasn’t going to help me. And instead of going back to his job like I was mine, he felt the need to yell things to me as I walked out saying nothing in front of others. I just continued walked out saying nothing because I was as taught if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it at all. The tall old man (55+) behind the counter could learn something from that.
