I am interested why every employee that works at this Office Max hates their job so much that they need to take it out on the customers. Deb, the sad, worn out, miserable, poor lady behind the counter today sealed my decision to never use this store again. All i wanted to do was recover from a difficult day at work myself (the irony was not lost on me, however I try and compensate my woes with kindness and compassion for others) and recycle our office's ink cartridges. When first approaching the counter, i was immediately made to feel as if me walking through the door was ruining her day. And if the sighs and groans weren't enough to detract me from completing the transaction, hitting the keyboard keys with disdain certainly completed the whole effect of, " I wish you'd just go away, annoying customer " did. Mind you, I said nothing except "hello" to this woman. She was annoyed I didn't have the account phone number, but I handed her my member number! I don't see how it's my fault that she wasn't trained thoroughly and couldn't figure it out. I suspect that she was just pretending to enter the member number so that she had reason to groan more and make me feel unwanted at the counter. It continued on from there for another 5 minutes, but there's no need to bore you with those details. It just got ridiculous. The manager in this store is the real problem, however. Employees are only as good as their training. Although I highly doubt Deb would be happy at any job.

Some of the WORST customer service I have ever encountered from the store to the corporate office me. Everything about dealing with them was garbage. Ordered business cards same day pick up. Paid for the service, as it began to get later in the day and I never heard from anyone so I decided to call. Was told by the store associate that they could not complete my order due to being short staffed never even started it, never thought to notify me. They also refused to refund me my money. They said I'd have to deal with customer service. Wasted 1 hour and 40 mins with 2 agents that were useless good for nothing they also couldn't even cancel my order or return my money because they couldn't get in touch with the store and one of them left me on hold only to hang up on me. These people are CROOKS they take your money and don't provide to goods and services as promised. I ended up missing my event. I was finally was able to reach someone the following day. Was given a line of horseshit about not having the paper for my order. I showed up to the the store filled with all men weird looks very cold vibes and absolutely zero customer service. Never again! Not even if the offered me free merchandise.

How is this place still in business?! Went in for a simple poster print job. You'd think the 1 employee they have working at the print center should be competent enough to handle a poster print. Wrong! The guy does not work well under pressure and is very. It was very surprising for me to constantly hear "I don't know how to do that." Or "can you show me how to adjust this?" And no one knew. The guy was asking me on how to use photoshop to adjust the image resolution and print. At the end he couldn't get to print my poster because he did not know how to install the glossy paper and his response after 40 minutes of having me wait was "I'm sorry our printer won't accept this glossy paper roll but you're better off using the north Olmsted location anyways. ". I drove all the way to north Olmsted and made it into the copy center 5 minutes before close, the guy there literally made me wait for 5 minutes and had his manager tell me "sorry store policy is we can't do anything after 9pm but we can definitely place an order for you to pick it up tomorrow. Or your best bet is to go to the FedEx print center that's down the street and they're open until 10pm." Turns out the FedEx also closed early. What is wrong with the office max employees? Do they get paid $3 bucks a day or something? Seems like none of them are proficient at their jobs!

This Officemax is at Southland and I hate that when you walk in to the store there is the Big Stupid "Circle Concept" that some corporate person somewhere came up with. It is confusing when you walk into the store, frankly I never make through the whole store because of the Big Center Circle (wasted space) lay out----its like if you have ever been in a building that has a never used court yard, you know what i mean. As for the items, they put the Clearance way in the back of the store, where it is difficult to find-----frankly, now that the Rewards Program is under worthless Office Depot, it doesn't matter anyways.... I'll be going to Staples-----Office Max has been ruined.
