“I rented a truck from the Compass Self Storage location in Cleveland to help move into our new house. Jennifer was unbelievably helpful and professional. We had some issues with truck availability but she quickly resolved them and went above and beyond with customer service. She turned what could’ve been a difficult day into an easy one and we were able to get everything moved on time. Definitely recommend if you need to rent a truck.”

“The staff was very friendly and they make sure the go over all costs and contract requirements. The also make sure, you are comfortable with the entire process and that you have their daily hours and the ability to have the pass code to enter the facility during their available hours. The manager Josh was very helpful and answered all questions and concerns. The facility was clean. I asked about if they have experienced any flooding and Josh said he has been therexI believe 15 or more years, and nothing has happened.”

“Storage sense employees are very understanding and patience. Informed me right away of an incident that took place at the storage facility, even though the incident did not involve my unit in particular, but still informed me of it because my unit was close to where the incident occurred. Also, when I first paid for my unit online and went to go pay my second month, I was confused a little on charges, and the staff respectfully went over everything with me and explained everything until I further understood . I also fell behind on my bills one month and was late on my unit, and the staff was so gracious enough to waive my late fee for me which helped me out tremendously. Will continue to rent storage storage sense and as well as 100% to anyone else.”

“Wow! Just. Wow! We (The Musical Theater Project) decided to work remotely, and so we needed to move from a building in Independence to two storage units near Lakewood. We hired Berea Moving and Storage because they had been trustee by major arts organizations throughout Norheast Ohio. We needed to move backstock of CDs from our record label, and many, many theatrical costumes, in addition to office records, supplies, and equipment. They were thorough, careful, systematic, and organized. They were also really fun to work with! Somehow, they managed to find a spot for everything, even suggesting ways to organize the storage spaces so that everything would have its place. Best of all, the thousands of CDs were places in their exact right spot, in the exact right shelf--easy to find! We are forever grateful to this wonderful, family owned business. If they can organize our move, they can do the same for anyone.”
“This is by far the best storage unit in downtown Cleveland, if not all of Cleveland, & it is in large because of the manager Julia. The facility is immaculate; the cleanest one I have ever seen. Julia does a lot of the cleaning herself if not all of it. The bathroom is even clean! I am a disabled female & can access & use their bathroom without any issue & that’s saying a lot. I am also able to access our units (we have three!) without any issue. My husband & I needed a storage unit quickly, had a horrible experience at a highly rated nearby unit: the unit was dirty, unswept, the floors uneven (trip hazard) & a support beam 1/3 way into the unit blocking storage access & decreasing space as well as having horrible customer service from the local management to the corporate customer service and management. All these issues were resolved when we found Breakwater. Julia personally helped us choose the unit with the best location for us (& me being in a wheelchair) to access & helped ensure it was spotless before we moved in. We were so pleased we rented two more units there with the same great service. Julia even helped us choose the right size units to rent which were correct & not even close to what the professional moving company said we needed. Julia is always there to help or answer the phone & if not, she returns all phone calls almost immediately. We are more than satisfied with Breakwater but particularly with Julia who keeps the place running so smoothly. She is friendly, knowledgeable, happy to help & overall just goes above & beyond with the customer service. We called & researched many storage units before finding Breakwater; our only regret is that we did not find them sooner. I never write reviews but I thought I should share the info about this place with anyone else needing storage, especially last minute like us. I highly recommend Breakwater Storage.”

In my move from Columbus to Ohio, they moved a five-bedroom house worth of stuff with damage to only one side table. The crews on both ends cared about us and our belongings. They also were very respectful and had a great sense of humor (with me and together), making the move a more relaxing and positive experience. Will work with them on my next move, if possible.”

“I have had my belongings in storage for over 2 years which is longer than I anticipated.
Overall, I have had good experiences with billing, ease of payment, even received advice & assistance from the district manager when I had a customer service issue; it was resolved immediately. The facility is clean, easy to access, secure and modern. I would definitely choose Public storage again for any future storage needs.
Something to keep in mind is if you have your own renters insurance, you do not have to purchase the renters insurance provided by the facility.
Public storage is definitely a leader in the storage facility industry. They even have an access option for you if you lose your key!
There have been many changes with my units over time. I was not pleased with the price increases but do understand that this is an industry that is positioned to increase in cost... Aside from the price increases, I do have to say that I have been pleased with Public Storage. Their management has been helpful, albeit sometimes a little hard to get a hold of live. (There Is a 1-800 number, however, I preferred to deal with the on-site manager instead as it was easier to work through issues.)
The 1-800 number did not note my account properly and it was rather frustrating to deal with their representatives.”
