We stopped in for a quick breakfast. What a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very “hometown.” Our server and our host were delightful. It would definitely be a must stop in the future.

Abbie is our new favorite server. The food was reasonably priced and very good! We shared the lunch special and had more than enough to eat We had some of the best pie there is anywhere. It is a few miles off the freeway, but well worth the trip.

We grew up in Milan so love to return to this restaurant for fond memories. My husband had the meatloaf dinner. The salad.was impressive. I had the meat and cheese omelet. We left with enough food for another meal. Service was top notch.

Pie is amazing!!! Pull yourself up to the bar like a 50's dinner, or take a booth or table with the family. I ate there for lunch the other day and I couldn't say no to the mixed berry pie. It went well with the burger and fries. Perhaps an overkill for lunch, but oh well. It was worth it and affordable.

Unassuming restaurant in the town square. We were welcomed with a friendly smile and hello as soon as we walked in. The service was excellent. The food was priced very reasonably, was delivered to our table fast and hot, and ot was delicious.

We went here for lunch after a hot morning at Summit Dragstrip. Arrived a little after Noon. The cafe was full but they were able to seat 5. Two of us had breakfast the others has sandwiches. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to the birthplace of Edison (or Summit Motorsports Park).

This is a cute little diner that you might just miss if you’re not paying attention.we ordered a wide variety of breakfast and everything was delicious! The portion sizes were generous and the prices made them a great value. I placed our order for pick up, and everything was ready when I arrived. To top it all off, they had excellent service!

Off the beaten path on the old town square of Milan. The restaurant appeared to be a local hangout. Thumbs up for the breakfast. Also just a couple of blocks from the birthplace of Thomas Edison .

A great little cafe with homemade food and plenty of it. Hand cut fries are great and a nice clean atmosphere. Prices reasonable for what you get. Defiantly will try to get back

Big fan of their food. I come here way too often. Personally a big fan of trash hash or I also regularly order the breakfast sandwich. While I may agree with others that there really isn’t anything too unique about this place but that really doesn’t matter when the food is great. Support local.

A must try, the portabella deep fried mushrooms. I'm not usually a fan, but these are tasty! Well worth the trip by itself. As long as you are there, check out the spicy trash potatoes a your mouth will be happy!

Great prices and great food. I got a mushroom Swiss omelette which was delicious. My partner got the trash potatoes which were also really good. I like all of the Thomas Edison decorations. It sets this place apart from chain restaurants.

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and the reviews were good so we decided to eat here for lunch on our drive to Maine. We pulled up to the restaurant and from the outside is looks old. We went in anyway. Inside it looked like a cute little diner. We ordered our lunch. I had a Reuben and my husband and son got the tri-tip beef sandwich. This was the best Reuben I have ever had. The corn beef was chopped into small pieces, their was just enough sauerkraut, cheese and dressing and the sandwich was a good size. My son got the BBQ tri-tip sandwich and he loved it. My husband got the steak and cheese tri-tip and he said it was good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would eat here again!

I've been to Effie's Attic several times for many years, before this new owner. Food used to be quite good, but standards and quantities have dropped sharply through the years. Today was the worse experience I've had--so much so that I won't be going back. (Notice the prior reviewer was there 1 year ago!) I called them to figure their hours, since there is nothing online. We ordered their berry iced tea; we sent it back because it tasted like water, but it came back just a little better and the server made sure we saw she was not pleased... My friend and I tried to read the food listed in a black board on the wall, but the words in dark blue on black made it impossible to read. When the server came back (a young girl) I told her we could not read the board so asked her about the quiches again. "That is why I told you before," she chided me. "Well, then you'll have to tell me again because I forgot!" I answered, getting annoyed. She repeated, very unwillingly and we placed our orders. The quiche's dough was soggy instead of the normal crunchy and was tiny. The (banana?) bread/muffin tasted like some kind of artificial flour or something, quite bad. While we were eating, a woman (owner?) barged in and asked very loud "Are you the person who called and couldn't find us in the Internet?" I swallowed the food I was chewing and said, yes, that I found them, but there was nothing about their hours. When she allowed me a word (and believe me when I say I'm not bashful) I suggested she should add the hours, but she complained it cost money. Well, I don't know about her, but I live in a world where advertising actually works... Effie's Attic is surely not there to please the customer and that is when the beauty of Capitalism comes to mind: we'll just take our business somewhere else!
