Beautiful hand-dyed yarns. The new selection of other brands really fills in the gaps with some plainer, non-superwash yarns good for colorwork. Excellent curated selection of notions and needles. Button choices are not extensive, but well-chosen and interesting.

Super friendly people and always willing to answer questions. Their yarn is always extremely soft and gentle on my hands and has consistently blown my mind with how vivid they get their colors.

Went there with a friend who does crafting. She was very happy with what she found and had traveled a very long distance to go there because they were one of the few places that had exactly what she needed. The ladies who worked in the store were very knowledgeable, friendly and polite

Come for the yarn, stay for the serenity and the people!My wife is an avid knitter, so we spend a lot of time (and money) in yarn shops. When I say that I look forward to visiting this pleasant shop, you know they are doing good things here.Kimber (the owner of Fiber Optic Yarns) has crafted a peaceful environment for shopping, chatting, knitting/crocheting, and even reading while your spouse walks through their version of paradise. Her eye-catching, hand-dyed yarns (created onsite) are stunning and will definitely spark your creativity. She and her staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a talent for finding yarn pairings for all projects, big or small.My wife and I have made many new friends among the shop’s community of regulars, and we highly recommend attending Kimber’s weekly Knit Night on Thursday evenings, where all are welcome. (Beginners and experts alike!)If you are a fan of all things fiber and you are in the area, do yourself a favor and visit this delightful yarn shop. You will not be disappointed!

I’m brand new to spinning and I stopped in to buy my first drop spindle and some fiber. Kimber was so incredibly kind and helpful. She spent a good half hour with me explaining how to get started and invited me to stop in on a Thursday for her to demonstrate how to spin. When I mentioned I’d eventually like to buy a wheel she walked me through every model wheel she had in stock (which is a lot!) and explained the pros and cons of each of them. The store is gorgeous, her yarns are gorgeous. She’s so patient and nice. She has a customer for life.

What a fabulous shop! It makes me wish that I could spend more time in Cincinnati. The yarns and fibers are mostly unique to this shop and they are so beautiful it is hard to pick. I love what I bought and look forward to returning.

What a lovely shop - visited for the first time yesterday as a new-this-year knitter. David was so helpful and kind, showing me each section of the shop and explaining what yarn would work best for my planned projects. He even offered to wind my chosen yarn so it would fit perfectly in my yarn bowl. There is a wide array of type and color of yarn. You can tell the difference of quality right away. There is a beautiful pollinator garden around the side and back of the shop that is the perfect tucked away oasis to visit. I look forward to revisiting and getting to spend more time with the wonderful staff here!

Such a lovely store! Well-stocked with beautiful yarns, rovings, books...anything a fiber artist could need. The woman who helped us was incredibly patient and helpful. I am so glad to have discovered this shop and will definitely be coming back for more high-quality items!
