Trying to find the source of whirring noise, the mechanic:
1) listened with a stethoscope,
2) turned a bolt on the serpentine belt track...
and that cost me NINETY BUCKS??
My hat goes off to auto mechanics and these seemed eager to help; they have to put up with a lot and I know that there's overhead. But charging me $90 for a diagnostic when no engine parts were removed is not fair. I will never go back to Jacob's.

Honda dealer said the Odyssey needed struts.... Jacob's changed the transmission fluid and the van ran like new.

The best around! My family has been coming here for years and they’ve never been anything but honest, fair, and just downright nice. They’ve done standard maintenance, major repairs, used car inspections, etc. all with total transparency about the cost of parts and labor. Exactly the kind of decent hometown shop everybody hopes to find.

My family and I have been Jacob's customers for several years, and I can't say enough good things about them. Tom is always friendly, and will give you an honest and fair price for whatever repair work you may need. He is also very good at explaining car repairs in a way that any lay person can understand ! Excellent service at a fair price , and they'll have you back on the road in no time! Tom was kind enough to squeeze me in ( on a Friday morning! ) for a pre - purchase inspection of a car I was test driving. They're great folks who are great at what they do.

Best mechanic shop around. Somewhere along the line mechanic shops in the area have gone unhinged with their pricing. Jacob’s is honest with pricing and time expectations. Highly recommend!

My daughters car went in for a water pump and while doing that they discovered a couple exhaust leaks at the connections. The car is now super quiet and it fixed the check engine light problem Great job guys.
