We were supposed to be on automatic delivery. Apparently we owed $103 on a bill… But they don’t send paper bills under the new ownership, so we didn’t know we were in arrears. Ran out of fuel oil…house is cold. Called Lykins. Paid the $103… But they can’t tell us when they will be out for fuel delivery. New ownership of this company is horrible.

Stay away from this companyAfter U pay the oil still need 3-5 business days for delivery. I can ask them… please its freezing everything bc its 17*F… No we have to do between 3-5 days after its payed WTH… now catching Sat and Sun in 6 days all horizontal water pipes crack… Thanks LykinsU ARE THE SOLUTION FOR DAMAGE

I've been a Lykins customer since 2012 and I'm so grateful for them! Their customer service is always amazing and they always get out to my house immediately, even when they say it will be a few days. The delivery person is always extremely kind and helpful and I couldn't be happier with this company!

I called today bc I noticed a leak in my oil tank. I was looking to purchase a tank and hire someone to install it. It is in my basement and I'm confined to a wheelchair and conceredthat it may split open and cause a hazardous mess. The lady was not helpful at all and said your account is inactive and we can't help you. I'm not sure why a business would turn away a customer. I haven't bought oil for a while bc I have a heat pump.

I never write online reviews and it is not in my nature to complain, but what is in my nature is to warn people who may be about to make mistakes similar to ones I have learned from- and this is why I'm here. I've been a loyal customer of this company for the better part of a decade. They always provided great, friendly and efficient service. At some point within the last calendar year the company sold and the experience has been night and day, and 100% for the worse. The first thing that went wrong was that the heating oil I ordered was not delivered on the day it was promised- the truck came and went with no explanation and no oil. I called to inquire and the person I spoke to was rude, unhelpful, and would not or could not give me an explanation for what happened or when I could expect my oil. It was so off putting that I started to look for other companies. Imagine my surprise 7 days later when they show up unannounced and begin filling our tank without even speaking to me. As soon as they were done I noticed a smell- the truck had overfilled the tank, spilling gallons upon gallons of oil all over ornamental plants, flowers, the ground- so much so that it visibly leaked into the basement and filled the house with fumes so strong that they rendered the house uninhabitable due to the headaches, sore throats and other symptoms that not only I but my children experienced. The truck operator had left without a word. It was hours later when I opened the mailbox when I found a nasty note indicating that a new company policy required that I have something called a "warning whistle" in place. This was never communicated to me prior to the filling, until this day I had no idea of what a warning whistle was and no one ever asked if I had one- *I* was being blamed for their failure to do simple due diligence and to take reasonable care, and I was the one who had to pack up their kids and move out because I couldn't stay in the house. Long story short: whoever bought this company has changed the service and culture to the point where they no longer give a fig about their customers. While I may give them the opportunity to try and make it right, they can absolutely count on the fact that they've lost a customer for life and I will warn everyone I can to take a lesson from my experience and avoid these people at all costs.

Heating oil was 533 for 100 gallon at Hudson oil likens charged me 577. For the same thing I asked why they were higher they said because we can that is price gouging to me just because they know we need to stay warm

Worst experience I have ever had with a fuel company. They might get around to delivering if you beg and plead with them. They lied to me several times. Your order will arrive Tuesday. It did not. I called and no order was placed. It will arrive Wednesday. It did not. They said they called and nobody answered -- but no missed calls on the phone. I can't deal with people like those at the Lykins Florence location. Sorry, but it is not supposed to be that damn hard to get heating oil delivered when it is cold!

Love their Auto Fill program. A tank wagon shows up each month maybe every other. But I never have an empty Propane tank. Keeps my bills manageable.

most expensive heating oil in the area. Skip this bunch; you can do better. Oil prices have come way down while their HO prices have gone up. Heating oil futures today were 1.24 per gallon, more than a dollar below their quote which is some how higher than last year when Crude prices were higher. It's a racket and some might even construe it as price gouging. You would think they want to attract customers with competitive pricing rather than try to gouge it out of the few that don't care or cant shop the market.

If you have the option to use a different company I would strongly suggest doing so. Lykins overflowed my oil tank inside my basement so badly that myself, wife, and two sons (age 1 and 3) have been displaced from our home for over two months. Our home spells so bad that if you are there for more than 15 minutes you get a headache. Lykins came and dropped someKitty litter and mulch over the spill and poured some dawn soap, however it was basically useless. They blamed the whole thing on me and are refusing to help in any further way. Our furniture, clothes, and carpet smell so badly of diesel fuel we think we might have to throw themAll away at a total loss. They have ceased all communications and have stonewalled us. Multiple restoration companies have come to our house and bid to fix the problem for over 100,000 dollars, of which we done t have that kind of money. On top of this the billing department called to informMe that they are sending the $400 bill to a collections agency becuAse I have not paid the bill from the oil spill. Do yourself a favor and find a company that actually cares for its customers enough to do the right thing.

The men in general really are trained on their stuff, something that is not as simple as running a cash register or flipping a burger or you get my drift. It's almost a skill to get the techniques of this job down and a person has to be very careful because they are messing with gas. I appreciate what they do. Yes, it is expensive, but what isn't anymore?
