Nice indoor and outdoor choice of seating. Awesome jukebox! The help are young high school looking folks from the area, so be sure to leave a tip, as many are preparing for college.

What a treat! The ice cream was scrumptious...very flavorful and creamy. This nostalgic Buckeye Lake landmark has kept the old-fashioned booths and decor I remember from my childhood. A delightful experience! The owner and staff are personable and friendly. The trip is well worth it!

weldon’s is an institution of buckeye lake. this is a truly family owned and operated business. the old timey and well maintained ice cream parlor is sweet with nostalgia.i ordered a custom ice cream cake from them and am so pleased with it. the custom flavors were delicious and well balanced. they even added a layer of crunch which really tied it all together. the cake was beautiful too. they had it ready ahead of schedule. ordering and pick up were both very easy. can’t wait to have another slice tonight!

Consistently, delicious ice cream throughout the years. Always great service with smiles everytime. Never hear bickering. Very clean establishment. Walk in and be taken back in time. You can play the jukebox while relaxing and enjoying your ice cream or milkshake. Enjoying Weldon's ice cream is the place where generations of owners keep the authenticity thriving. Rudy Weldon started Weldon's Ice Cream Factory. It was passed down to one of his daughters and son-in-law (Marilyn and Jim Pierce) then onto their son, current owner, David Pierce. The next generation of "Wedon" has learned the trade, works there and no doubt will carry on the tradition Weldon's Ice Cream truck and trailer, owned by Steve Pierce, is at fairs, festivals and events (catering/parties). They serve their delicious ice cream and milkshakes. Steve's children along with others help Steve as well. It's a tradition for families to bring family and friends who in turn bring their families. Be sure to stop in during Spring to Oct/early Nov if you haven't already. You'll be back for sure.

While visiting Buckeye Lake, I learned that Weldon's Ice Cream Factory is the place to visit. It's an institution, and it has been around since 1930! I'm not a big ice cream person, but I do love sweets, especially a sweets shop with history. I ordered a banana split. Though, it was difficult to decide what to order! This place has a peaceful vibe, but the signage is a little chaotic -- it's like walking up to a Dr. Bronner's bottle. I had to stand there for a bit and read everything while the poor girl behind the counter waited for me to get my bearings. (Luckily I was the only one in the shop at the time.) There are different colored signs everywhere, listing daily specials, new items, and things you can buy that aren't ice cream, like bags of ice and local honey. The banana split was delicious: A perfectly ripe banana split between two scoops of ice cream -- I chose vanilla and chocolate. It's topped with whipped cream, crushed nuts, and a cherry on top. It's one of those desserts where you lose track of time when you eat it, or at least I did. All of my concentration went toward eating that magnificent ice cream concoction as quickly as possible. I decided to shovel it into my face on the big porch, which overlooks the Buckeye Lake canal. There is also seating indoors, too. Weldon's is a must-visit if you're in the Buckeye Lake area!

Excellent, home made ice cream. Many unique flavors to choose from. Nothing exotic but based around traditional flavors like moose tracks, rocky road, etc. The atmosphere is like you stepped back in time. Prices are fair and the service was great.

We love this wonderful icon The ice cream is delicious and sitting on the porch looking at Buckeye Lake is so nice. It's understandable why they've been there for almost 100 years! The price of a scoop has gone up like everything else. I do wish Seniors could get a break so we could take the G-kids more often.

Never have I not been happy visiting Weldon's historic ice cream shop. But this was extra special. Visiting during the sweet corn festival I spied sweet corn ice cream. Well of course. But that wasn't the end of it, when one of the pretty young girls handed me my treat she said the salt and pepper was on the table... ? whaaaaaa? Oh hell yea! First we tried it plain to get a base reaction then lightly sprinkled salt and pepper. ? WOW It really tastes like fresh sweet corn. And the kids always love the vinyl records jukebox. Ya know the ancient times ?
