This hotel is a dive. The rooms do not look anything like the images on their website. The windows are so thin and desperately need replacing, the rooms are so noisy due to that. Not quite sure what the king size mattress was resting on but it was not a king size base. The fan goes on and stays on when you turn the light on in the bathroom. Such a cheap way to design a room. The dead bolt on my room did not work as it would not line up with the door frame hole so i slept all night without the door locked. My friends husband tried to lock it, the poorly trained front desk clerk tried to no avail. He then informed me they were sold out so he couldnt move me. Really? The worst thing is the non hospitality manager Mr Patel, replied to me and to BW that there was nothing wrong with the lock. Not that he fixed it, but that I was wrong! 3 of us tried to fix it. Mr Patel, you are a disgrace to the industry. Do not stay at this hotel.

Very disappointing stay. We stayed here on our return to Canada from Florida. My 78 year old mother booked two rooms for my parents and my husband and myself. Unknowingly, and accidentally, my mother booked twice. She did, however, only receive one confirmation. On arrival we were informed of the 4 rooms booked. Clearly this was an oversight and we asked for it to be amended. The woman at the front desk said she could not authorize it. No problem, we said, we will speak with manager in the morning. When we went to our room the white bedspread had a large and mysterious stain on it. Next to that were dots of either rust or washed blood. My parents room was next door and they had asked the front desk to check their fridge as it wasn’t in working order. Front desk clerk indicated maintenance had been in earlier to fix this fridge. This is important as my mother is a diabetic and her insulin needs to be refrigerated. I ran into the front desk person in the hallway and asked her to look at the bedspread. She apologized and fetched us a clean one. Soon after my parents asked for help from me as their tv kept turning off. There was a power bar mounted under the desk with many plugs and it kept tripping. We unplugged some lamps and the microwave and tv then seemed to work. The chair in the room was broken almost sending my 82 year old father over backwards. Most concerning was the painters tape on the smoke/co detector on the ceiling. Ceiling had clearly been recently painted. Tape was left on the detector. We have no way of knowing if the tape was over the sensor as the ceilings are high. We did not notice this until the next morning. In the morning we approached the manager who appeared to be an affable guy and let him know about the situation. Could we get the two extra rooms, booked in error, removed from bill? The manager went in and removed one but not the other. He said it was not possible as it was booked third party. This was not the case. My mother had booked through best western site so she can add her points card in. Despite being able to remove one room he denied a second removal. To no avail, despite our being reasonable with our request. To add insult to injury a higher rate was charged for the extra room that we did not use. This felt like a gauging. The gentlemen was not sympathetic and was a very good talker but what was told us, didn’t ring true. He said we should have called, not booked online. As travellers to the US, our Canadian cell phones can only be used in an emergency. We have never booked through a phone and the managers own business card lists his email address before a phone number as it is customary to book online, in my opinion. This was not a satisfactory interaction. Yes, our error. But an innocent one and could have been rectified by the manager, in the spirit of goodwill and customer service. Regarding the hotel, it is in some disrepair. It is obviously going through some decorating however, our shower was not connected correctly to the wall making the pipes shake and noisy. The dirty bedding was concerning. My parents bathroom door would not close which removed the expectation of privacy in the bathroom. Most horrifying was the tape left on the smoke detector. An oversight at best, fire hazard at worst. We could have overlooked the rest, except this, much like the manager could have overlooked our error. Would obviously not stay here again. We travel the I-75 corridor very often for business and leisure but will avoid this particular hotel.

The room is AWFUL. The bathroom fan sounds like an airplane landing....after 5 minutes of squealing loudly first.There's mildew and pubic hair in the tub area.Would not recommend.We booked two nights but are going elsewhere for the 2nd. We wouldn't have stayed last night but it was late when we got in and we were exhausted.

Horrible !!! Warning do not stay here !! Gross it’s stunk !!! Old the guy that checked us in was not very friendly. We went to look at the room only to discover it was old gross and smelled horrible we went out and got a reservation at another very nice hotel here in Monroe so thankful we did. I am sure there was bed bugs !! I will never recommend this best western here in Monroe I have requested a refund we will see if I get it. Oh and when we went right back in to get our stuff that guy that checked us in disappeared!!! I sure hope best western refunds my money but won’t hold my breath ,

I called the front desk this morning to find out what their breakfast options were. It was like pulling teeth to get this information, he acted like it was insane for me to be asking this. Last time I checked EVERY hotels breakfast options were different. He said it was “weird for me to be asking about this instead of asking about the price”?? Sorry I like to be informed, before I give my money to someone. Seems to me this is a very simple question to be answered. Makes me wonder if I have such difficulty with this extremely simple task, what else might be difficult if I chose to stay with them. For this alone I think I’m gonna pass. Perhaps you should work on your customer service skills instead of needing to know WHY I’m asking the questions I’m asking. Extremely disappointing.

I was having dinner in my room, when I returned from a quick Kroger store water run, I returned to my room to find ants all over my food. I switched rooms only to find the fridge was not working and the AC was off at 10:30 pm. I checked in late at 830pm. I requested a refund or partial refund from best western and they said sorry for the inconvenience and offered me 3000 points. Just as a ref 16,000 gets you free night. This hotel has gone down hill and customer service support was terrible. They wouldn't even compensate me for the dinner that was covered in ants. When you want into the room the picture is hanging and there is pee all over the floor it's a very bad sign.

The worst customer experience ever. More about service later, first room stunk of urine. Got switched to a new room which was good but then the second room wasn’t keyed correctly. When asked about the key, got yelled at that we messed up the key by putting it next to our cell phones. Turns out the keys were set up for the wrong room.There was pet urine in the hallway. Told front desk about it and he got indignant claiming it was miracle grow for a plant. But right after we left front desk, he called someone to go mop it up quickly.Terrible when are just trying to help by telling them about an accident and they yell at you claiming it’s something else.Never staying here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Within an hour of check in I found BEDBUGS!!! I immediately removed my stuff and put it in the hallway. I walked to the front desk I told them i am leaving and want a refund because of BEDBUGS. I was asked what time I checked in. I travel alone with 2 small dogs and they required a nice walk after 8 hours on the road and then I had to haul our stuff in, so it had been an hour. I was told "someone needs to pay for the AC." I had just turned it on after the walk and bringing stuff in and then turned it right off because it smelled of mold. Room smelled like a pack of smokes, broken lamps, dirty outdated furniture and they have BEDBUGS!!!

Please do not stay here. I would not like an automatic response. We made reservations because of a team softball tournament. Stains and drink residue on table in foyer/entrance. Pool was not open. At that point, we asked for a refund They said they didnt advertise a pool on the website but the pool is pictured on the website and on a pamplet in the Room. Room 209 you could push the door open without it being locked only closed. We later found out that our room, room 220 was the exact same way. Dont leave any valuables in your rooms(just a suggestion).hair in our bathroom - around the shower surround, one the other rooms had random hair pins scattered throughout their room. Please do not stay here. Stay somewhere else. We asked for a refund and the hotel would not give it to us. The customer service rep for Best Westen said refunds were at the descression of management staff. We were denied a refund. We feel trapped H-E-L-P. OMG we just found an orange in our room.... I have attachments for that as well.Noteworthy details: Do not stay here. Again, just providing an honest review. I do not want an automated apology

Check-in went well, but the hotel was a little outdated, and the hallways smelled a little musty. Our room was a little small, and the bathroom was tiny with a noisy fan that came on when you turned on the light. Room was clean. Breakfast had a good variety including waffles.

First time staying at this establishment and it is very nice. The hotel is clean and the personnel are very friendly.The rooms and amenities are very good. The beds and pillows are comfy.The internet is very good and the free breakfast was excellent.

I asked for towels because we had just came from a tournament. He gave me one towel. If you run out of Kleenex or tissue it's like pulling teeth to get more. Never had a hotel act this way. Not sure of the gentleman name but he was there Saturday night. May have been the owner.

The emouees were very nice and helpful! The rooms & bathrooms was clean. The breakfast was really good as well. I would recommend folks to stay there.

Would never stay here again… checked in very late. The person checking us in seemed like we were bothering him. Get to the freezing cold room, turn on the heat and get a blast of dust. Big stain on the couch, dirty socks in the “closet” , hair still in the bathroom/bathtub, light film cracked and hanging, bed springs all broken, a big dip in the bed (would have been great if I was pregnant).Next morning go to breakfast, the lady making and serving breakfast (wearing AirPods) seems like she doesn’t want to listen to the customers as the grey sausages didn’t look cooked and was asked if she could cook them more? Nope, she pointed to the microwave! The halls smelt like cigarette smoke, and there is a car wash right behind the hotel. When we checked out it was the same person with the AirPods and didn’t ask how our stay was!If you have to spend more money on a different hotel I suggest you do, instead of paying for a chiropractor!The reason we didn’t go and ask for a different room (incase you’re wondering) upon check in he wasn’t going to listen, and I had already cleaned the room. Plus the person with the AirPods really looked like she didn’t want to listen to their customers…
