1-Star Review: Poor Management & Ignored Customer Concerns**
As a longtime Johnston & Murphy customer, I’m deeply disappointed by my recent experience at the Liberty Mall location. The store manager berated my young daughter and me for not purchasing a shoe she had picked out (which was accidentally left elsewhere). Instead of handling this minor issue politely, the manager lectured us as if we’d done something wrong—despite browsing being a normal part of shopping.
Worse, after reaching out to customer service to address this treatment, I received no response. This lack of accountability speaks volumes about how the company values (or disregards) its customers.
Until management and corporate prioritize basic respect and responsiveness, I caution others to spend their money elsewhere. A brand this quick to judge and ignore complaints doesn’t deserve loyalty.

Great selection, staff and prices. Since it’s an outlet store they have some great deals, styles and selection which can be different than the J&M retail stores. There’s almost always a great sale around Fed Holidays and the store is one of the largest J&M stores I’ve ever seen across the US.

So happy to have this store at the Outlet mall! They offer a great selection of mens shoes and clothing. Everything in the store is well made and will last you forever. I will be back to get more from my ever growing list!

The customer representatives were not friendly. They were helping every customer there except me. It seemed my race/ethnicity was the problem. I was really shocked and hurt.

Lori and her staff are always a pleasure to work with, they will greet you like a friend and offer help or an opinion on anything. Bought my wedding shoes here, and many other shirts and accessories over the last year for a fraction of the original market price. There are not many size small clothes in the store, but they are always willing to order anything for you online at the same price and it will ship directly to your house. J&M Quality is unmatched across all their products.
