The Monroe, OH store not what it was! No one is greeting customers at this store anymore and no one is talking when spoken to (a simple hello gets no response from most employees). Sadly enough, no one is smiling. Not sure what is happening at this store but it is not what it used to be? I have shopped at Kroger as long as I can remember and I have been loyal to the Monroe store for many years. At one time, you could walk into this store and feel like you were family. Now, you feel like a burden to the employees, especially the younger ones. They seem put-off by anyone who approaches them. Very sad! I blame poor management. I have decided to take my money to another store chain where they still smile and talk to customers. Kroger has lost their identity like many businesses and services today. What is happening?? I know this post means nothing to Kroger but I have a feeling other customers feel the same. If I was the manager I would address these anti-social issues going on in front of you. My store would still value it's customers. But of course, I'm old fashioned I guess.

The health department needs to pay a visit to this store, for starters they leave the trash door in the back dock open all day and it fills the back dock and even the floor area by meat and seafood with putrid rotting garbage smell literally like your standing in rumpkes dump. They also have left scraps of raw shrimp sitting in the seafood display all through the night until the next morning not even cleaning the bacteria that has spread. I can only imagine the handling practices of the raw foods. Seriously need to have a company come scrub and clean that trash compactor shoot because that's unsanitary and extremely sickening.

the Monroe Kroger pharmacy took poor customer service to a new level when the pharmacist hung up on my wife's doctor trying to get her medicines straightened out. Then when my wife asked the pharmacist about it, she proceeded to call her trash and tell her to go someplace else if she didn't like it. After yelling at my wife, she left and came back to yell some more. Beware of the pharmacist Tram Tran in Monroe.

This Kroger has one of the rudest the rudest pharmacist I have ever come across. Some some of the techs are just like her. You can spot the ones that are like her by the sour looks on their faces and the attitude they have.

This is Kroger's worst pharmacy.. it used to be the best but with all the new staff members that don't give a dam about people and treat you like an addict it is now the worst.. they never answer there phone and when they do it's like your bothering them.. this is Oxford State Rd store

I went to the Monroe Kroger's this morning during the hour for older shoppers. While all employees were all wearing masks, 4 had them pulled down on their chins. This included 2 up at the self-checkout. I really appreciate the fact that the workers keep the store open during these difficult times. I wear a mask, correctly, to protect the workers and other shoppers and would hope the workers would do the same.

Management, we love your store, selection, and prices! For the most part, your staff is amazing as well! So why the 2-Star? Your order pickers for pickup or delivery could give a c**** about those who actually shop your aisles! The pickers could care less that their picking carts block isles AND product. The pickers are oblivious to their surroundings! I get it, I like the convenience of delivery and pick-up, but don't forget those who shop your aisles!

Horrible service, waited 20 minutes to get a corsage when I arrived at the pick up time I gave them. Ridiculous

Seriously?!?! I just moved to Monroe and the meat department staff tells me they do not carry chicken thighs, then they say well we do have a pack with no skin on it. Now I have to drive to Meijer cause Kroger doesn't have what I need. I mean let's be real, no chicken thighs?!?! Clearly this Kroger needs either training or a clue. Not only that, but they had almost no other options. Just disappointing, way to inconvenience a customer.

We are running out of decent Kroger's to go to in the area that aren't either run down or so crowded you want to run your cart straight through a plate-glass window. Luckily a few new locations will be opening in the area soon. But until then... Out of the four locations in this general area, this one has become my favorite at the time of writing this review. However, they are in the middle of a remodeling phase right now as it is late 2018. Like many of the established Krogers in the area, they have gone the route of the click list. What this means is, they are remodeling the store and shuffling things around to widen the aisles. Be prepared to be confused if you haven't been there awhile because everything is moved. Another thing to notice now are the LED price tags on all of the shelves. Different and may give you motion sickness. At least that's what I found. Instant headache. This Kroger does have a State Liquor Agency. Would I go back? Yes. Given that two of the closer locations are run down and the other one, even them Newark, is an absolute nightmare to get in and out of and always crowded. This is the best of the four. At least until the new ones open.

I'm here 2-3 times a week...it is a very nice Kroger, clean, well organized and the staff is always very friendly. There is a pharmacy tech whose name I don't know, but he is literally the nicest person on the planet. I definitely recommend this kroger over the one at Liberty - Fairfield Rd.

This is a lovely Kroger. Very well organized and clean. I don't often have cause to head over to this particular location but it is one of my favorite Kroger stores. The staff here is very friendly and their produce and deli section is particularly impressive. There is a large cheese section and the bakery is much larger than most other Kroger's I've frequented. I sometimes feel disappointed by the meat and seafood department in particular but this is not the case here. They have a very expansive selection and I was quite impressed. If this location was more practical to my house I would choose to shop this location exclusively.

Love the grocery part... However the employees are extremely not friendly no one smiles or appears to be approachable. I feel that when you walk into an establishment you should be as customer greater with a welcome and a smile.
